Hi There,

Does anyone here paraglide in Poland?

I'm in Gdansk and I've done a couple of flights up near Chłapowo.

I'd love to meet up with some like minded paragliding types.

I haven't done any yet, but i'd love to. Do you have to have any special training or a license before you fly? And if so, where in or near Gdansk can you do them?

you do need a license and a fair amount of training to get it. I got my license overseas and lucky as well because the written exam here is in Polish (obviously) so that makes it a bit tricky I reckon.

But I know a guy who has a school in the area and he can put you through the lessons and exam. Kamil Antkowiak at paralotnie.org.

I did a refresher course with him last summer in suwalki. It was great.

If you fancy it, I'd be more than happy to sign up again with Kamil because I want to renew my license and get the Polish version this summer.
