Moderators: why so much xenophobia, racism and more generally hatred in PF's messages?

Dear Moderators,

Why do you accept so many messages full of xenophobic, racist, antisemitic, homophobic comments? There are more and more of them and this is not acceptable. I do know that such (stupid) attitudes result from lack of education, lack of culture, lack of being exposed to others but nevertheless there are NO excuses. People are people and there are good and bad people in all groups, nobody is superior or inferior and therefore no one should be insulted, stigmatized because "different". Well, in order to know that, one needs to get out of one's 4 walls, and meet people...

I know that you are based in the United States. Aren't they laws in the US against that? I am not so sure about in Poland but in Western Europe, such attitudes are strongly condemned (heavy fines and even jail - I agree with such measures).

These PF are supposed to be international so no segregation, no stigmatization, no insult of xenophobic, racist, antisemitic, homophobic nature ought to be allowed.

Also hate filled posts should be removed quicker than the great crime of going 'off topic'.

Going off-topic risks damaging PolishForums' google results, that's why doing it will get you banned faster than posting xenophobia, racism and generally hatred.

I know I am on my fourth warning....:)

@Wulkan: I was not thinking about him/her since not reading (I don't read everything and everybody). I just cannot stand stupid comments based on nationality (if we don't happen to be from America, Poland or Germany, we are systematically insulted), religion, race, sexual orientation. I was fortunate (now I am aware of it) to be born and raised in multi cultural society, I have mingled with probably over 50 differents nationalites, all colors, all religions, you name it, I had it ;), I have travelled a lot, I have lived in 7 (including Poland) countries. As a result, I am open and I don't judge people upon their nationality, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation or whatever. I judge people upon the way they behave.

The problem is lack of education and lack of exposure to others. Although Poles are said not to be open, the least tolerant don't come to Poland.

PS; it is NOT NORMAL to be insulted because of what we are. I don't mind being insulted because of what I say but I refuse to be insulted because of my nationality, my being a women, my this and my that. If necessary, I'll seek legal advice because I shall not tolerate to be insulted.

@Rozu; when did I insult YOU because of your nationality? As a matter of fact, I don't even know what you are. For me, it's NOT important where people come from. I don't label people. Except for 2 or 3, I don't know where people are from. If I said that Britons (in general) don't know about TOM-DOM, it's a fact and it's normal that they don't know because they are not concerned;). For the past few days, whatever I write, I am insulted because of my nationality (which I have never indicated by the way)..

why would i cry a river to you? i only asked what means `sniffy` comments about British. Its very hard to read all comments of one poster to found out what he wanted to say so i asked other poster who follow the discussion. What`s wrong about it?

My first thought was that is `sniffy` something pejorative because i also don`t have respect for Brits. That word `sniffy` preety nice goes with British mentality. But, as a decent man, i wanted to be sure.

Crow is Serbian and everybody knows it. Perso, it does not matter to me whether he is or isn't Serbian. Although I don't agree with him, I think he's nice, always polite ...

@Crow: sorry, the other day when you talked about "vagina", it was not very ... delicate. There are ladies in PF too ;)

why would ladies complaint on word `vagina`? Especially if it needs to be used to explain someones character.

look I cannot be arsed to be digging through threads but yeh you have made several snippy/sniffy (lol Crow vagina is fine, we all have one..:)) about the British, about how we dont speak other languages, or are ignorant about other countries.

I insult the hell out of Crow, and he knows it's not directed at him personally - we don't know each other. He is free to do the same to me, and does. And I can't see who's insulting you particularly InPolska?

Why hide your nationality anyway? We don't know who you are in reality, so why cast aspersions, when all of it is just keyboard amusement and waffle?

If I said that Crow is a "this and that" and has personally done something wicked, he could sue me of course - but I wouldn't ever say that, not only because I don't want to be reported, but because the character "Crow" is obviously perfectly nice, and anyway, his views are his; he's entitled to them.

I am also entitled to be derogatory about Sweden's 20th century history, though an individual Swede might enlighten me.

There are even nice Brits who do not like Europe nor Slavs.. In fact, generally speaking, Brits are one of the most decent nations on Earth. Too bad they have such poor weather and food!

@Rozu: I don't keep files on people (not my style and I have other priorities - for instance all next week at hospital for tests) and I swear I did not know you were English (believe me, I have always had great relationships with Britons, was even au pair girls several times in London). As said, if people don't say it, I don't care because it does not matter to me. Except for 2 or 3 because they said it, I don't know and am not even interested. It may sound stupid but that's the way I function. Nationality, race, religion or whatever are not important in order to write in fora ;). I'm interested in what people say and the way they act. I don't keep an excell doc with everybody listed as per nationality, sex, date and place of birth, education, occupation, income.... Personally, I disagree with Pol's homophobic comments but the guy is intelligent, well read, always polite when I exchange with him and this is enough for me. On Sunday I exchanged with a follower of .. JMK (if you know Poland, you know you he is) and although we have totally different views, we had a decent exchange. That's (I believe) the purpose of fora. People exchange on topics but they don't call each other names because one is from New Guinea, another one is purple with green stripes and a third one is a vegetarian trilingual transgender.

I don't know how old you are but most probably you are not very old and therefore you have a lot of things to discover. Believe me, there are good and bad people in all social groups.

@Bulls: now that you say it, could be! I don't check on people's cv when I write. I could well exchanqe with a buddist transgender on Dukan diet from south west Armenia or an albinos feta cheese loving prostitute from central Honduras, what matters to me is what they say and that they are nice. People should not be put into boxes, i.e. the "good" ones and the "bad" ones.

That's hilarious statement, vast majority of insults on this forum are towards Poles without counting valid criticism that is someone's honest opinion.
