Also - lo and behold! - even in Poland herself public opinion would seem to shift somewhat towards the Russian positions (as can be deduced from the ever rising popularity of Grzegorz Braun and Konfederacja, as well as a visible attitude shift among various conservative circles).

Is this shift completely incomprehensible? Well, perhaps not for those who have been observing the conduct of America under Trump and the overwhelming impotence of the EU. Those who witnessed the cowardice, the dithering and foot dragging, and unwillingness to make major sacrifices by the "collective West", may well start asking themselves serious questions.
