"tolerance and liberty are not always the ideal we should be pursuing"

Very well put and may I elaborate to put it into perspective.
Once upon a time I had a difficult decision to make. Needing a babysitter for my five young children, I had to choose from a group of one hundred applicants. The agency supplying these candidates gave me the following insights. They had very little information on any of them but it could be established that there was a reasonable chance that 5 of them would be murderers who would slaughter my children as they slept. The agency had no way of knowing which 5 of them were in this category. I was assured, however, that most of them were very nice people. They did tell me that all of them needed jobs and were really down on their luck. The agency had had minimal success in providing any prior accurate information. In fact, I read of several families being brutalized by other applicants from this agency. But...because I am a compassionate, caring human being... I felt making a choice was still necessary...and, so I chose...hoping for the best. In my mind my commitment to doing the "right thing" outweighed any responsibility that I had to my family. After all, who was I to put my children ahead of these total strangers?

The ideals of tolerance and political correctness showed to be a failure.

Especially, when it came to allowing Jewish people into our country but nobody seems to have the courage to touch on that. Arabs will create similar mayhem or worse.

Coffee spilt on keyboard :) Very good Johnny;

.....must learn to employ poetic licence sparingly....

We could make it into a reality show with the losers having to stay in Poland....

So you mean that the Turks and Syrians and Iraqis who live here in Poland at this very moment are losers? So why are they here? When I buy a kebab or some cloth from them they are always most friendly, and as before, their Polish is actually quite functionally impressive.

They seem to make a good living here, as a number of the Jewish population did over the centuries. So why would some not stay and make a go of things?

It's what is commonly known as "success through hard work".

Because it is our country and we are saying: NO!

Ktos, quite right. Your chip shop lady has the right stuff, even though she's not a Pole.

If someone is jew but comes legally, no issues.

It is plain stupid to compare a legal jew that can invest and contribute with the country with a illegal potential threat from Somalia.

Comes where Levi? Are you talking on behalf of Poles and Polish taxpayers again? Blinding ignorance, if you indeed are.

What about somebody who is not a Jew but tries to settle in Poland illegally? Should we in Poland tolerate such people?

No, but they didn't get to Poland by getting into Germany and then being "distributed" to Poland either. Those who choose to come to Poland to start small businesses are very different from the migrant flood that Merkel is trying to palm off on other countries. Apples and oranges.

Did Poland sign up to the principle of taking those 7,000 refugees, or didn't you?

To be fair, most members of the EU cherry pick their commitments.

I think there is a growing respect for Poland and Hungary regarding their stance.

You're distracting me :)

The question should be how can we identify these people as genuine refugees ?

Very Well said. The Poles rule Poland.

Not Angela Merkel, Francois Hollande and their evil plans (for the sadness of the Turkish/Brits of this forum).

Not difficult. Take the Dougpol script of a non-Syrian refugee for example [Interview from commission originally from Homs...}

Commission: passport number....
Refugee: ............ Passport destroyed by Assad! I am from Homs..........
Commission: Address?
Refugee: ....... but bombed...everybody dead, but me and friends here....
Commission: That's very sad. Oh, how is Mr X from the butchers' shop on your street? Did he survive?
Refugee: Oh yes, he is very well and sends his regards.......
Commission: Oh good! .....................Except that there is no MrX, and there was no butchers' shop on that street...

Refugee: ............ Passport destroyed by Assad! I am from Homs..."

Yes... sure Assad destroys passports.

I Don't know if you believe this BS or you are just trying to spread propaganda.

They destroy their own passports before arrive at Europe to claim asylum.

There is a place in Lesbos, greece, called "The shore of the Passports" since they found hundreds of it.

you are just trying to spread propaganda.

My screenplay is simple to understand Levi

If you tr----y, tr...y ........ tr....yy

(sing to tune of favourite song)

I was answering Dolnoslask, in that it would be relatively easy given time to screen the genuine refugees. They will have a (verifiable) story to tell, as did the Poles fleeing the Nazi tyrrany.

You did know that Assad and Isis are tyrants right? Do you dispute that fact? Probably as these are "*******" Arabs we are talking about, you couldn't care less?

As to the "Bay of passports", evidence please? Or we might just be talking propaganda in real terms.

Commission: passport number....

That's silly and a waste of time even considering.

So the commission would need to have knowledge of every locale that the so-called refugee originated from ??

As I said before, these people are not running out of their houses in a hail of bullets. They take weeks, even months, to plan the trip and secure the financing to pay for the trip. A passport or ID would actually HELP them in their application to be considered as a refugee (thanks to Merkel) so if they have no documents on them then it's not like they have forgotten a toothbrush it is because they have chosen not to take paperwork with them.

How many failed applications have resulted in a refugee-wannabe being returned to Africa or the Middle East...my guess is zero.

As to the "Bay of passports", evidence please?

The Poles rule Poland.

What do you think Poles think of foreigners who break Polish law and try to settle in Poland? Do you think that Poles want such people to be allowed to settle in Poland?

people qualified in the right types of Arabic

Now we're talking:)

Afghans

On the list for refugee status if they make it to Europe. Some Iraqis and Pakistanis too....

A passport or ID would actually HELP them in their application to be considered as a refugee

Yes....{Dougpol rips up his draft script and starts again....}

That was my point. MOST of them have passports, but Cameron et al are still bleating on about "but they are not refugees.." The facts of the matter are easily proven in the fullness of time. In the meantime, the Geneva convention clearly states European responsibility. It's so simple. But people prefer to argue and play politics. We're all doomed I tell you:)

As to the "Escaping in a hail of bullets..." only Rambo does that.

Albanians

Have you ever been to Albania? That stinks of ignorance or worse. As it happens I have been through the coastal regions, and though starting from a low infrastructure level, Albanians no longer cross to Italy en masse to flee a communist regime. It is completely normalised, and jolly nice too for tourists.

It is plain stupid to compare a legal jew that can invest and contribute with the country with a illegal potential threat from Somalia.

A threat from a Jew is that in the past the Jews started to take away market niche from Polish merchants and because Jews had more money mostly collected from cruel human trade (mostly Slavic; read Khazars) then they could set up more shops which could sell at lower , therefore, more competitive prices, thus taking away customers and market share from poor Polish merchants who could not afford additional products or shops and hence could not lower their prices thus loosing customers to the Jews. Just one example, I have tons of those.

telling people THEY should help

Go and do something then. I pay Polish taxes and have for 23 years (much more then than now because I have learnt the game) and want MY government to pay more to help. I contribute plenty as it is but these idiots give it to the miners and the police. The UK was the biggest donator of foreign aid by a factor of 30 per cent in 2013 (the Economist) followed by Germany. France contributed half as much. Pathetic.

Poland signed up to contribute a percentage of GDP to foreign aid when she joined the Union. She has not honoured that. Scum.

I would post the evidence but PF makes it difficult to post pics and anyway I have to start a darts match.
