Understand one thing, most other people from different cultures sees allies as an partner in crime who you do minimal effort for and try to gain as much as possible from.

It's a very Polish thing to move all and beyond for an ally, ready to even sacrifice your life for them. It should be reserved for best of friends not allies, as allies are rather ungrateful for such behaviour as they quickly see themselves as worse or not able to give back the favour as most people think in terms of merchants.

That if you receive a gift, then has to give back a gift of similar value or better, while in Christian tradition when one gives a gift one isn't supposed to give it on the premise that you will receive a gift back.

I know. Look at our help for Ukraine. I mean only the military equipment we gave them - if Britain, France and Germany did the same, proportionally to their defence budgets, this war would be over long time ago.

This sh*t keeps happening all the time - Vienna 1683, we save Europe from Muslim flood and a century later get partitioned by our dear Christian neighbours. We save Germany (and the rest of Western Europe) from Red Army rolling westwards in 1920, and 19 years later Germans want to slaughter and enslave us. In 1939 we delay mobilisation at the request of our British and French "allies" and suffer enormous losses in September Campaign because of that, and I won't even mention "the help" we got from our "allies" back then. I could go on. Same old sh*t all the time. :-/

Poland being the knight of nations is an fairly ungrateful job. Should noticed by now how many hate the very word: "knight" or anything related to it.

Women scorn it as much as possible, and those who doesn't want to become one, don't think they can or lacks understanding of it. It's a very lonely job, and most people want to belong to a group, even at the cost of losing one's self piece by piece.
