Hey, sox guru, I talked to them and got the quote. It's a super deal at 5 grand less than the Fair Market price and the car is exactly what I want.

That's a good deal. Low miles but a bit old granted they've kept that design up until 2017 when they implemented the "angry hourglass" grille.

I really like the interior and most important part is the wooden steering wheel. TBH I'd buy a car solely because of that feature. I can't stand leather wheels especially when they're cheap pleather and look worn after just a few years.

Still, I'd take a 2013 S550 over that Lexus any day. The S-class is the ultimate Aryan machine.

Does it help dust or swirl marks?

Yes. It's like giving your car a 2nd clear coat almost. I wouldn't recommend you do it on your own though and take it to a body shop

Regular gas 6 cyl.

Ah okay. Maaaan you should've went with the Cummins though. Those engines are bulletproof. I'm more of a Ford guy but I'd take a Cummins over an F150/F250 anyday. Plus the diesels Ford makes suck.

S class is way too over priced man,no toys in it and so much steel.I am surprised you also like RWD and dont like Cyber Truck.Hey did you see the new Bronco?I didnt test drive it,I still liked the old one, never owned one but drove a friends lol remember when OJ ran from Cops in it?Now that truck was a beast of its time new one looks whimpy.

No way... it looks like a cheap Nissan. That's also why I'd take the Landcruiser over the LX anyday.

Those post-2017's scream "look at me even if you hate me". That's not what "luxury" cars are supposed to be doing.
I think the term is "understated elegance". Like the Jaguars.

Day two with Renault. Now i know it's Arkana and not Arcana. Never mind. As my wife saw this car for the first time she told only; what a beautiful red car. It is red and for a SUV very nice and not so big. Realy good design.

My first car was a 1970 Ford Fairlane " Old Betsy" was her name:)

Then I had a 1972 LTD with a 351 Cleveland under the hood, some crazy Nam Vet sold it to me. I wound up smashing it at Hoyne/Dickens with like 6 of my friends inside, they all bailed out and hopped on the CTA train... The 1980s was a total blast! Hahaha

CPD did nothing to me, called my mom to come get me...lol

Did I mention I dislike all that is foreign?

Why do you want to buy a Lexus then? Its just a glorified Toyota and bad for our economy to keep buying foreign made rice burners.lol

Because I have a wife and a bunch of guns. She saw enough failed transmissions in her life to shoot me while I am asleep if I bought another American car. I actually drove a 2005, 50k, Corvette recently and it was rattling like a metal toolbox. My 2005 LS430 makes zero noises with 175k on it.

I am ready to buy one soon and hopefully before my wake.

They sit way too low to the ground to me. My former boss had one and let me drive it a few times ( like it was a big deal) it was back in the 90s and was the bumpiest ride as well. Not to mention those cars aren't cheap.

I would take her Lexus over the Vette.

Aren't the prices thru the roof right now? I think they have a chip shortage and many of the dealerships still have empty lots.

I dont even bother looking at American made cars,or even German cars, they are usually for window washers cheap labor personnel.

Yes it's true, the cleaners always drive Mercedes, but our cleaner drives Toyota.

I have always loved American cars.
Many of you on here are Americans slagging them off.
And I get that.
But I love American cars from the 50's, 60's and early 70's.
Mainly for their looks.
I have only driven a handful of them, so cannot really comment.
Were they really that bad?
I loved the 1957 Chevy, the early sixties Ford Thunderbird and the late sixties Chevy Impala. And quite a.few others too.
Do any of you know more about these visually stunning cars?

What about English cars Milo? I have driven in 90'th 3 of them. Austi Metro, MG Maestro EFI and Rover 827 Vitesse. I was happy with them.

TBH, there aren't many fully British car manufacturers left. And most of the ones that have gone were pretty poor.

But of those made in the UK the best ones are the luxury or higher end models and sports cars.

Rover,Range Rover,Jaguar,Aston Martin,Lagonda,Bentley and Rolls.

Then there are the sports cars, many no longer made,Mclaren,Lotus,MG,Morgan,Caterham,TVR,Marcos,Austin Healy and AC.

One of my favourite sports cars was the AC Cobra( Though it had an American engine)
A totally impractical car for day to day use but great fun to drive.

The sixties Mini Cooper S was fun to drive too, almost like driving a Go Kart!

@Miloslaw; there aren't many British.... left.
It's a pity, but even Inspektor Barnaby is currently driving a Volvo.

Not a TV show I have watched.
But yeah, I haven't owned a British car for about 30 years.

Abgefahren....but not suitable for everyday use.

And if it has a 454 cu. in. engine in it, you can plan on 12 to 15 miles per gallon if you keep the pedal off the floorboard.

Those cars low rumble at a stop light do sound cool though with a sound of, "Don't even think about it", while sitting next to a BMW or Jag.

..but not suitable for everyday use.

They were used for daily drivers in their time.

If you can't afford the gas then don't buy it, simples.lol

Classic American muscle car:
This one has a 396 engine. Still a gas guzzler, oh but what fun!

With Biden's gas prices, you have to think twice for sure!

Yeah, I jist love those American Muscle cars.

you can plan on 12 to 15 miles per gallon if you keep the pedal off the floorboard.

Who cares?
Those cars were so much fun to drive!

Those cars low rumble at a stop light do sound cool though

Exactly, and except for a few Italian and British cars they had no competition!

This one has a 396 engine. Still a gas guzzler, oh but what fun

Again, who cares?
We need some fun in our lives!

Exactly, and except for a few Italian and British cars they had no competition!

Name the muscle cars built in the 60's and 70's in Britain that were competitive to the muscle cars built in the U.S.A. in the 60's and 70's.

I'm talking in the quarter mile.

This one has a 396 engine.

Compared to my 1973 Eldo, that's a lawnmower. My Eldo had an 8.2-liter engine that would move me 7 miles on a gallon. Or was it the other way around...
