Hi everyone,
As you may have seen, there will (finally!!!!!) be a Polish team in this year's Champions League. Congrats to Legia Warsaw, first Polish football club to make it to the group stage of the Champions League in 20 years!
After a few glasses of (Polish) vodka to celebrate this (unexpected) qualification, I thought why not start another prediction game, as we used to play here quite a while ago? So here I am. Not sure if old players will join again. We'll see. But everyone is welcome to play. Yes, even ladies. And if you think you're lousy at predicting stuff, that's okay too ;)
Now let me introduce you to the rules of this new game.
Each player starts with 20zł. Yes, we're playing with (almost) real money this time: the Polish złoty (zł).
You will be allowed to predict on 3 games for each matchday, plus a bonus question to pick (more about that later).
Why only 3 games when there are dozens of games? Well, simple: I don't want to spend entire nights calculating how much you made (or lost) ;)
But there's more!
In this new version of the game, each player will have to pick a sponsor. A sponsor is a brand/company that will give you extra cash for (virtually) wearing its shirt (with its logo on it). Come on, you can (virtually) do that... You will keep the same sponsor during the whole group stage. If you want to pick another one, you will have to wait the round of 16. So make sure you pick the good one before you make your first predictions.

This is what you get if you pick us:
1. A 18% bonus each time you make a good prediction,
2. We'll double your profit each time you're successful at a risky bet (like betting on a Legia win at Real Madrid).

If that's too much information, here's an example of how it's gonna work:
Bronisław picked Bank Pecao as his sponsor, and made a prediction on -for instance- Barcelona vs Celtic (the odds being 1.50 for a Barcelona win, 2.50 for a draw, and 5.00 for a Celtic win), betting 10zł on a Celtic victory. This is a risky bet, since the odds are clearly against him.
If Celtic wins, Bronisław gets 5.00x10zł (=50zł) + 18% offered by his sponsor (Bank Pecao) for a good prediction (=59zł). Since it's a risky bet, the sum is doubled by his sponsor. Bronisław won 118zł.
If Barcelona wins, or if it's a draw, then Bronisław gets 0zł. Of course.
