If you go to jail, and later refuse to go to court, then they will put you in the Psych Ward of the jail. The next day you will be
transfered to a city mental hospital until there is an opening at the state hospital. a state psychiatrist will do an assessment of you also.
I'm talking about Washington State.USA.
Again: An officer goes to a call, then if he thinks the situation is dire, then he would bring in
the mental health professional. If they come to an agreement, then they would commit you to a city mental hospital.
This is a 72 hour commitment, they don't need a court order for this. The rest is what I said before.WA. USA.
The state aint going to put you there unless they have to. Because they have a shortage of beds. WA.
When they discharge you from the mental hospital, they also order that you go outpatient, if your not being compliant on outpatient,
then the mental health professional can make a recommandation to a judge. This is in general.
Can a judge do an out-in-the-field evaluation, then sign an order without anything being presented?
The answered is: NO.
It has to be presented.
Today there is a shortage of hospital beds at the mental hospital. So they will put you in solitary confinement at the jail instead. Then release you.
Ya, so they aint going to put you in the mental hospital unless it's really bad.
Correction: Release you later.
The psyc ward of the jail. A pug tank with rooms.
When released from jail, you will go through 3 or 4 holding rooms. The last room is just before
the Property Room. The Property Room is were they keep your belongings. You sign for your belongings,
then take off your jail uniform and put on your clolths and leave.
Jail uniforms are Blue for misdemeanors and Red for felonies.
The Pug Tank and rooms have electric sliding doors, which are metal, not scary thought.
An involuntary commitment is a civil commitment.
Some Review: A danger to others would be: a direct threat on someone or a misdemeanor assault at least.
A danger to yourself would be: Suicidal Stuff or a health condition that is out of control which is grave danger.
Changing The Subject: When your processed at county jail and charged with a misdemeanor you will be asked were you work and live. If they get this
then they can release you in good faith, but if you are charged with a felony then they have to keep you unless you bail out.
You have to report any changes to the court. Like were you live and work. If not, then if the court can't locate you then they would issue a warrant
out for your arrest and because they issued a warrant is why it is now a felony. In General.
For a search warrant the police have to show cause for a judge to sign the warrant. The police cannot enter your apt without a search warrant
even if your home.
If they do serve you with a search warrant. In the warrant it's listed what is to be taken. If they take something that is not listed in the warrant
then you could get the warrant thrown out of court.

When it's federal agencies they bring evidence to the the U.S. Attorney and the U.S. Attorney has the decision to bring
charges against someone. Not the federal agency. The FBI don't want you unless they want to interview you.
They only will interview you if you are a person of interest or suspect.
.............
Sorry. In federal court it's indictments not charges.USA.
.............
Other: When County Elections credit your vote it means that it's through a judge.
