Ex-commie Miller Poland's third most trusted

In a CBOS poll SLD leader Leszek Miller and former PM landed in third place amongst the most trusted Poles. First and second place were captured by President Komorowski and Foreign Sec. Sikorski. Tusk and Kaczyński shared 4th place with 32% of the votes each.

What (if any) is the significance of these results?

The significance is clear. People like the president and the charismatic Mr Sikorski (who is very photogenic - up close he doesn't look so good) and Mr Miller. All of them decent guys. There are even people who like Jaro, though obviously not as many.

35% for Miller isn't SO impressive. He has as much probably for his often funny one liners in front of TV camera. This guy can predict what media would ask him for and would often be prepared - giving a good, to the point comment including anecdote or linguistic parallel. He should be reminded being in Samoborona once, his rating would then fall down a bit.

Not much significance. Tusk and Kaczynski being trusted by 32% of voters probably reflects the real strength of the respective parties right now, Sikorski is the obvious candidate as successor to Tusk (particularly with his good connections in the UK and others built up as Foreign Minister, as well as his former association with PiS) and Komorowski has done a very good job as President.

What's interesting is that Miller came out so high, well ahead of any other PiS candidate. It should be a clear sign to PiS that they desperately need to develop other members of their party - not idiots like Hoffman who irritate voters, but rather people that voters regard as credible.

Since they are neck and neck, that does nto reflect the support for their paries, since PO is lagging behind. But since Kaczyński as a result of the PO's violent and unrelenting PiS-bashing campaign was far below Tusk in popularity, that means he has moved up whislt Tusk has dropped.
