Flagrant and nice example of how Croatia follow orders from Germany

Interesting for all who follow European politics

Merkel "made Croatian FM promise" blockade was over

Source: Tanjug Wednesday

The article said that Merkel suddenly asked Kovac, in front of everyone, "When will Serbia's chapters be opened, was it July 19?," which was followed by several seconds of silence. The German chancellor then repeated the question, to which the Croatian foreign minister "just nodded his head affirmatively."

Now, we know that Serbian EU membership depend on higher politics, on the first place, not economical, infrastructural or judicial questions. Here in the region, we know that two players- Britain and Germany had final word on Serbia`s accession to EU. Croatia acted just as German lap-dog in this, what we now see openly. When Germany decided, Croatia nodded positively.

What is interesting, these days Britain also gave positive signals to Serbia`s EU accession. They- Germany and Britain knows that Serbia`s EU membership bringing changes to EU and effectively ending era of Anglo-Franco-Germanic domination. They know that now even USA and Vatican stand behind Serbia, not just Russia and China. They know that Serbians represent `glue` that binds and balance different interests within the Slavic world, what is best proven on example of common Polish-Russian support to Serbian candidate (Vuk Jeremic) for president of UNGA and later for UN Generally secretary, then, with special Serbian ties with Visegrad Group having at the same time good relations with Russia. So, most probably that at this time, Britain and Germany accepting new reality (shift of power in Europe) and they now calculate their position in new system.

Britain also gave positive signals

You really believe that they still have any say in this or that anyone in the EU is interested in their opinion? LOL!

Serbia`s EU membership

Another southern European leech joining the EU. Exactly what they need. Sorry, but after the BREXIT there's no money left in the coffers, so you guys will have to wait until 3018 (not 2018) before you are admitted... :)

Serbians aren`t enthusiastic about EU membership. We don`t believe in it, neither trust to it. Majority of Serbians, if asked, would vote against it. Just, obviously, EU represent stage to something else. A phase. Like Britain (ie England) which waits for something suit to itself, many others in EU wait for something what would come after EU. That is case with Serbia, too. Its taking position before occur new opportunity- let`s say, for us, Intermarium, as Duda said it. But, this also depend on stance of global powers and their mutual deals. So, this EU phase may exist for several years or for several decades.

As for the `southern European leech` as you mentioned, forget it. Serbia won`t be leech. Serbia`s economy consolidate and at the moment when Serbia enter EU (i think in about 3-5 years), Serbian economy would be above average in EU, which means that Serbia have more to give then to receive. Here, fears in that sense already exist, considering that EU and many EU countries more and more looks like old horse.

Don`t forget that Serbia was main Yugoslavian region and back in time when existed, Yugoslavia was economically more advanced then Eastern Germany and any other Eastern European country. It was country with bright future and exactly that is why was destroyed by certain great powers.

I remember the old Yugoslavia (been there on vacation), but how did Serbia look after the Yugoslav Wars?

Forgive me for correction but, its not proper to say `... how did Serbia look after the Yugoslav Wars?`

More proper question would be this, for example... how did Serbia look after NATO and EU leading powers, in deal with Islamic league, used Yugoslavs as playground for their dirty games and schemes?

Well, answer, right now would be EXIT music fest. Definitely one of most popular music fests in Europe and world. In my city :)

how did Serbia look after NATO and EU leading powers...

I know your views on this issue, Crow, but they have nothing to do with the accession of Serbia to the EU. My question was: how well has Serbia really recovered from the Yugoslav Wars that you can be so certain that your country will not be leeching off the European Union like Greece for example.

i understand you. Well, more then many other countries Serbia resemble image of the independent country. This mean that Serbia maintain and developing as best as possible relations with all who are interested in fair business, in mutual interest. i mean, all. Serbia have privileged aces to Russian, former SU, non-aligned countries and Chinese markets. Products produced in Serbia have tax free enter in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. Serbia have good economical deals with CEFTA, EU, USA. Serbia is promised land for investors from all around the world. Serbia is only country in Europe that is capable to, at the same time, attract investors from all meridians. That, at the moment when many other countries isolate itself or are isolated by some world powers.

As for the common people, from day to day people live better and better. Many starts their private businesses, in rural or urban areas, from industry to agriculture. Infrastructure improving. Investors coming, new jobs opportunities. Slow but certain rise of wages. In the sense of political influence Serbia regaining her status of leading country in complete former Yugoslavia. Even Kosovo is prevented to internationally gain real sovereignty. From conflict with NATO, EU and Islamic league, Serbia coming as the not only moral winner but, example that independence can be preserved if is country ready to pay price for that. Reward for independence should be understand in the sense of free choice to make business with anybody and wherever exist mutual interest.

So, Serbians care to prevent that EU possible reduce our maneuverable space for business. Right now, Serbia is for example, equal (or even stand better) to Germany when it comes to choices with whom to make business. How things stands now, if become member of EU, Serbia would be forced to reduce its choices and that way subdue itself to Germany or necessity of any other western European country. That isn`t acceptable to Serbia and that is why Serbia have conflicts with NATO and EU leading powers. For them, Serbia is disturbing factor. On the other side, many countries sense that Serbia bringing positive changes to EU, to Europe and world in general. Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, etc.

To me looks truly disgusting when see how German Merkel communicate with Croatian politicians, as we see from the article on the start of thread. Germany made an effort to regain its full influence in Croatia and demonstrate its readiness to keep it. But, with Serbia, changes are coming.

It is Western Europe leeching off Eastern Europe that is why EU is still going so that Germans have the supremacy and richest Western European nations can gain benefits from EU regulations. It is business for Western Europe and any rich businessman does not do charity for its poorer neighbour, unless it sees good business in it for itself. The way countries join EU is through bribery of politicians, people have nothing to do with it, they don't benefit.

When you hear that Serbia entered EU, it would mean that EU changed. Serbia is epi-center of strategic games and events that truly solving behind curtain. All other stories are just fiction and hoax for public, like all what was in mass media about Iraq, conflict in former Yugoslavia, etc, etc.

Actually, i believe that is EU on crossroads. If Serbia enter EU, EU would exist. Changed but, would exist. For some more time at least. Here is what i sense,... if Serbia don`t enter EU, it would mean that would EU dissolve on western Europe and Slavic block. It would mean that Intremarium scenario becoming immediate reality, as Duda announced. Serbia, with all strategic meaning and with all big powers and players behind her, is here just symbol of bigger things behind the scene.
