We have a new Chief of Police in St. Johnsbury, Vermont and this is now the standard punishment for the crime of jaywalking. I'm afraid not. The Town Manager and Chief of Police have agreed on a new penalty for jaywalking on May 1st. Although, I think that you will like the new penalty. I know I do!!

All males pleading guilty to jaywalking in this tiny little town in Northern Vermont will soon be
sent to Tampere, Finland to serve their sentence.
