Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 26

Miloslaw
13 Nov 2025  #481

In March 2022, it was 150 rubles per dollar. The ruble forecast is stable for the next month.

Yeah, stable at half what it was worth 3 years ago...... LOL!!!!!

Be careful Alien - you will now end up in Miloslaw's list of Orcs and Asians.

He hasn't made my list. But you have.

He hasn't made my list. But you have.

What exactly, informs your view of Slavs total superiority to Asians?

Oftentimes, you will say "Russians are not Slavs - they are Asians"....

This always makes me curious, what exactly do you think makes Slavs so infinitely superior to Asians?

You know... those same Asians that produce Sony, Samsung, and LG products. The same Asians - which have an economy much larger than Europe?

Is it our ability to sit neck-deep in ****, and call it paradise?

Surely... you are not a racist Milo?

Surely... you are not a racist Milo?

I don't think Milo holds any sort of strong views or convictions.

YouTube does his thinking for him.

80 fvcking roubles are worth just 1 dollar??

At point IIRC there were six rubles to a dollar..... russians think massive devaluation of their currency is totally worth it if that means the US notices them.

russia is like a homely girl with a crush on the popular guy who does stupid things and bothers him so he'll notice her (rolling his eyes and/or yelling at her is better than being ignored).

Once you realize that a lot of otherwise irrational russian behavior makes sense...

Another economic ignoramus....

Yes of course - we "devalue our currency" - to win points with the Trump administration.

The mechanisms implicit are so self explanatory, that no one needs to explain them.

True.Russia is a poor country

So poor, that 40 of the richest countries in the world are running out of money supporting our enemies.

Torq
13 Nov 2025  #488

All this economic talk, exchange rates etc., is rather boring but I always suspected there must be something inherently wrong with economic statistics if they show that Russia is poorer than Romania (per capita) and that Italy has bigger economy than Russia.

This is some sort of infernal mathematics...

Miloslaw
13 Nov 2025  #489

Russia is poorer than Romania (per capita) and that Italy has bigger economy than Russia.

Both of those statements are true. Why do you even question them?

Bobko
13 Nov 2025  #490

wrong with economic statistics if they show that Russia is poorer than Romania (per capita) and that Italy has bigger economy than Russia.

Correct nominally - wrong (by an enormous margin) in terms of purchasing power and industrial capacity.

Industrially - we live on the bones of the wildest industrial behemoth in history.

So it is to some extent surprising when people say: "How do they produce more shells than Europe and America combined?", "How are these alcoholics producing 100,000 drones per month?"

Russia is an industrial giant, and an economic dwarf at the same time.

Torq
13 Nov 2025  #491

Why do you even question them?

Because they're bullsh*t in common sense terms. Which country would you rather rule, Romania or Russia? And surely all the land and natural riches of Russia must be worth much more than the whole of Italy (a country of smaller area than Poland).

an economic dwarf

That's what I don't get. Something must be wrong with those numbers.

Miloslaw
13 Nov 2025  #492

Which country would you rather rule, Romania or Russia?

Both countries are corrupt and almost unruleable. But Romania would be less of a challenge.....

Bobko made a couple of good points.

You just don't understand basic economics do you?

Torq

You just don't understand basic economics do you?

I am proudly ignorant in economic matters. Our family dealt with land, horseback riding and sabres. For the economic matters we had Jews.

Ehh... the world was so much simpler in the old days. :-/ I'm off to get some sleep.

No it's not surprising

If I had the chance to buy 10 Italian drones or 1000 North Nigerian drones I would go with the ones that I thought would work and last a long time

The same with almost any physical good. That is why the North Nigerians export literally nothing that is manufactured.

As for whether everything in North Nigeria is worth more than everything in Italy, of course it's not. Because everything in Italy is denominated in safe euros and you don't have to deal with thieves and murderers to go about your daily business. Even in Naples

last a long time

This is important parameter for a kamikaze drone with lifetime limited by charge of onboard battery. ;) ;)

Poland exports geographically confused morons like you...I saw them stumbling even at noon in Chicago...not sure where thery were...

How many are still left?

Hey, Velund, did you notice how silent PF is about Russia's military assistance to Venezuela?

This is beyond funny...The US is getting the taste of what it does so happily to Russia in Ukraine...Good move, Vlad...

Ron2

Poland has been caught red-handed conspiring with Ukraine to destroy Nord Stream. Germany and Hungary won't like it. Poland will soon be left with no true supporters because Ukraine will always support the highest bidder.

Why I hate Brits...Quoting from Daily Mail:

Putin rains fire on Kyiv in one of the biggest missile and drone attacks in months, targeting energy plants and residential areas

My reaction: Oh, my God...This man has no heart...war criminal!!! ... killing hundreds, if not thousands....

Nope...4......just as during an average weekend in Chicago... Quoting:

Vladimir Putin's forces have rained hellfire on Kyiv in one of the biggest missile and drone attacks seen in recent months, killing at least four people in bombardments that targeted residential areas and energy plants.

"...hellfire..." and "...at least 4 people..."

DM knows, of course, that women read only titles and will never go as far as the first paragraph...

BTW, I noticed that "Vladimir Putin" and "Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky".

Is it just me being overly sensitive, or are the British motherfvckers going out of their way to show the extra respect to the SOB who condemned 2 million of his Ukrainian brothers to death to fight a war he can't win?

Alien

at least 4 people

He will also get life imprisonment for murdering 4, unless his own people treat him like Ceausescu.

can you link your source? (I'm not trying to be contrarian - I just don't follow the news that much these days)

Ron2

Read between the lines, too. It's obvious Poland knew about the sabotage.

It's obvious Poland knew about the sabotage.

Bro - you are one month late with these posts.

I've been telling everyone here that Ukraine attacked Germany's infrastructure... that the investigation, and then the courts concluded this was the case beyond a shred of doubt...

Nobody cares.

We are living through war time. Exploding critical infrastructure is apparently par for the course.

This is important parameter for a kamikaze drone with lifetime limited by charge of onboard battery.

Shhhhhh!

Let CMS buy 10 Italian drones instead of 1,000 Russian ones, and then we can ask him later how well that decision played out.

When the enemy's ego is so inflated, we should only be encouraging it - and not giving them reason to become alert.

mafketis

about russia.... Now you're catching on!!!!

russia could be a lot more prosperous now... but that's not what russians want... they get off on misery and poverty so they should get lots of it.

Bobko

they get off on misery and poverty so they should get lots of it.

In normal life, the mind is scattered, as you are pulled in a dozen different directions by your ambitions, needs, and anxieties.

Hardship, on the other hand, collapses all this nonsense into a single beam. That is:

1) Survivial

2) Meaning

3) What you truly value

4) Who stands by you

Ukraine attacked Germany's infrastructure

Poland didn't want the pipeline, either, so it supported Ukraine's efforts.

Frankly, I don't understand why Poland's opinion is something people should care about in this context.

mafketis

why Poland's opinion is something people should care about in this context

Poland and the Baltics warned Germany for years not to trust russia. Germans said "Shut up! russia is a country we can trust! It's not like they're going to invade their neighbors or anything..."

the whole purpose of NS2 was to let Germany still get russian hydrocarbons while russia invaded its neighbors.

Fortunately after the initial attack on Kyiv failed Germany was shamed into scaling back its trust in russia....

Trust in russia in haste, repent in leisure (which is where Germany is now).

Novichok

Germans also said: We played Russia for time...hahahahaha...
