But, seriously, you should look at some sources that treat Trump's foreign policy with more depth than what the dailies publish. He's been harsh with Russia, his dealing with Iran may be creating the dawn of a more stable ME, and his recognizing the Chinese threat and trade war with China is compromising China from becoming the dominant world power. I find his approach interesting and its showing some real positive outcomes.

I haven`t noticed it. I thought Trampek and Putin are best friends.

Well, that's what most think, so you're not alone. Reality is he's the one who armed the Ukraine's, he's added to Obama's sanctions, he's put US troops into Poland as reaction to Russian aggression, he's directed US military to kill Russian mercenaries in and around Syria, he has refused to slow down US oil production to put economic pressure on Russia and others, and he's the one who has increased US military expenditures in Europe.

His style may rub some the wrong way (personally I love it), but the substance of his policies are bearing fruit, and not just for the US.

Just do a google search on us ukraine arms and you'll see it's much more than javelins (which are lethal). There's stuff like sniper systems and communications,, armored vehicles and patrol boats.

I think you under-value the deterrence impact of having troops, regardless of number, from the the mightiest military power on Earth on your soil. Even though the Russian military has strong mobilization capabilities that would be able to do great damage to forces in Poland, the subsequent response from the US and its allies would be so severe the Russians would probably be deterred from ever encroaching onto NATO territory. Those 1000 troops hold significant strategic value.
