Previously Floyd served a five-year prison sentence as part of a plea deal on the 2007 charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
You think the cops were going to take any chances in restraining him high on drugs.
After being arrested and found guilty at least nine times you would think Floyd would know what submit means.

He was on the ground, he was subdued, he was barely moving and he was still being choked. Maybe you can argue putting him in a chokehold was justified given the situation. But choking him like that for that many minutes is utterly indefensible.

Floyd was not murdered. Murder is a legal term that requires a conviction in the court of law, not in your head.

If you watch the whole tape (and the not version edited to cause riots).... he was stoned out of his mind on a drug that often makes breathing difficult (and complaining he couldn't breathe before the police touched him).

He was also completely ignoring clear instructions given to him by the police. Training in that circumstance calls for subduing the person as quickly as possible (people in that state can and will do insane crazy things that endanger themselves and those around him with no warning).

The police called for medics and subdued him, assuming his complaints about not being able to breathe were more stoned ranting... the medics took too long to arrive and he ended up dead. A regrettable situation but not one that calls for massive civil unrest - unless you're a libertarian calling for legalized drugs and don't think police should be able to arrest anyone who doesn't agree to be arrested (the main claim of BLM is essentially that police should not arrest black people ever).

I'm sure police around the world could benefit from your advice.... there is a racial problem in that black people are far more prone than other groups from expiring from oxygen deprivation (there was a case in New York in the 1980s about that as well).. I think if they had him handcuffed (and maybe footcuffed) that would have immobilized him enough but would also have caused outrage.

After her terrible debate performances caused her to stop campaigning before the first primary they chose Biden as the tool to get her in the oval office.

I cannot imagine the democratic establishment bending over backwards and moving heaven and earth to give the nomination to Joe Biden for any other reason. He announced his VP would be a woman of color because he knew she had already been chosen... (and he's even referred to her as 'president' more than once in public).

It was the way that digital platforms censored information (up to and including POTUS). they have no interest in the government providing services that aren't mediated through their delivery systems so the move to keep schools closed (even though remote learning is objectively ineffective and worse than nothing for most people) and defund the police.
