And this shows how you dont understand the system of education in the US. The Department of education at the federal level does not oversee any State department of education. The Department of education at the federal level was only created in 1979, and has zero power State policies.

Reducing the police in the area I am talking about hurts no one. It is probably one of the safest places in the country.

Imagine a flat tax system JR! Everyone pays a percentage and it doesnt change for anyone. No deductions, no forms to file, no refunds either. Flat tax at the federal level means they have to actually work within a budget and they know their income. States would soon follow. As for jealousy of the US, it is everywhere when we talk about financial success, but nearly nowhere when we talk about the social problems and the absolutely whacked out leftists.

That's your standard response. It doesn't work, especially since very often people understand very well and disagree with you. Educational oversight is needed, and a country does need centralised standards. Additionally, local organisations need support. If that support isn't happening, it reflects badly on the country.

You obviously dont understand the federal and state education departments. They are completely disconected. States should be the only department of education that exists. The States hold the power and the feds do nothing, and should not even exist. Local organizations as in school boards need support? That support comes from property taxes paid locally. State departments receive support from State taxes. There is no such thing as federal oversight of any state department of education. It just doesnt exist, and the whole department should be eliminated. Thankfully it will be under Trump if he wins. A huge savings for tax payers.

I dont hate government employees. I hate leaches who create jobs to be funded by raising taxes. This in a country that was founded on NOT paying a fvcking tea tax. When governement gets too big, its time to remove the government. The US government and all its agencies are too big.

I know that if Alabama, Mississippi and Oklahoma were given free reign, they would publish history textbooks that say their ancestors perished in a noble war for "State's Rights", and that no one - ever - had a thought about slavery during the entire process.

I also know, and many here might think it's absolutely fine, that those states would like to make study of the Scripture a part of the school program. Another disastrous decision, in the mind of this atheist.

Many of those type of states, have legislatures which would be absolutely "OK" teaching kids that dinosaurs are fake and that we did not come from monkeys.

If there was no federal education supervision over just "history", then within 50 years you might have another civil war.

It's important for there to be one central authority for what is kosher/halal and what is not.

The federal government doesn't develop curriculum. How it affects curriculum is by placing mandates that are tied to federal funding and standards. States can and do forgo those funds.

While there's no evidence (that I'm aware of) that would back your claim that AL, MS, or OK would promote the single idea that the Civil War was strictly about states eights, there is recent evidence that states backed by federal funds would promote the ahistorical Project 1619.
