Polish tourist injures 7 after finding wife nude at Turkish poolside

This one's been in the news lately. I thought of it because I'm staying in quite a nice hotel at the moment yet last night someone had to be dragged out by the police in handcuffs for much the same sort of thing.

Unable to bring the couple under control, the hotel called the police for help, but the couple also attacked the two arriving policemen. Only after the use of teargas could the couple be handcuffed and taken under custody.

The couple continued their aggressive acts at the police station. After initially attacking a translator who was called in to help with their testimonies, they later smashed two computer monitors and a fax machine. The woman also urinated in the observation room.

The couple, Marcin and Jolanta Flakiewicz, don't sound like ideal neighbours, do they. It doesn't say where they're from, but does say they're now in the UK :-(

What is the deal with "British Poles"? I mean most are very nice but some are exceptional to be diplomatic ...

In 2012 the police in Qatar were called in on a domestic dispute between a Polish couple (recently arrived from the UK). They were drunk, loud and violent. The man had apparently beaten the woman then started throwing furniture and other objects at neighbors and passersby. When the police approached them, the woman yelled racist and islamophobic things at them. Finally they were detained, deported from Qatar and banned from entering again. Of course a few weeks later they resurfaced not far in UAE ... Those who know the GCC will understand why I say "of course".

Just a guess, but I doubt that before they went abroad to work, neither this pair nor the ones in Qatar had ever had the chance (i.e. money) to go anywhere that there bad behaviour would end up reported in the media. The guy who went rampaging in the hotel bar here in Kołobrzeg last night was just taken away and a drunk running wild in provincial Poland isn't likely to make more than a paragraph in the local paper, if that.

Same with the naked person I saw running round the Rynek in Wrocław for half an hour hassling people - in that case nobody called the police and he eventually disappeared. If that had been in York, New York, Dubai etc it would be a different matter.
