Since the perp was a white male who injured (but not necessarily murdered) multiple people he would fall into the 'white male terrorist' category that delph describes above.

No, the difference is your father likely didn't care and that is precisely the problem in this country, has been for many years now. The average American no longer wishes to accept responsibility for the actions of his fellow citizens! Used to be, probably before I came on the scene, Americans policed one another as well as themselves and saw themselves more or less as part of the food chain:-)

While I'm surely no advocate of "white supremacy", I am in favor of standards, not double standards. Being white should hold no more sway than being black, yellow or brown. The villain therefore, is not the non-W.A.S.P living in our midst, it's the affirmative action monster who feels itself entitled to be something simply because of who they are instead of what they can do.

Let these "affirmative action workers" that have low or no education run the place.
Let them chip in on the cost of the property, interest on the loan for the business, pay the property taxes, pay for the insurance on the property, pay workmans comp. insurance, pay an accountant to keep the companies books, pay a book keeper to do payroll, pay for licensing, pay for maintenance on the building, pay the utilities of electric and water, the heat and a/c, matching pension plans and on and on.

Even in socialist countries, the owner will obviously "earn" more than those who work for him. This is clear, and so no need to be sarcastic. I also realize that many years ago, pre-Reagan, the ration between the highest vs. the lowest salaried employees was a mere seventy times as vast, whereas nowadays it's five-hundred times difference, at least!

Rather than insure the social peace necessary for any society to function smoothly, such gaps in inequality create even greater instability so that noone who works for a living feels valued any longer. The more that happens, the more mall shootings you'll see and folks goin' postal 'cuz they see no other way of getting the message across; you can rub a man's nose in manure for only so long before he notices the smell!
