I remember the change of currency and how confused people were when it was announced that people could pay in mixed old/new combinations of currency and within a week or so everybody was doing it as if they'd done it for years.

First of all, I've never lived in Poland and I don't follow the history of its currency from the 1990s. And the only real "L" here is bragging about a stipend of $1,570 a year.

The real question is: why discuss the value of money from 1990 instead of focusing on the present? Many Poles weren't even born at that time, let alone others. I believe that Lazyass is attempting to create an illusion of wealth that doesn't actually exist.

Decent people don't set up traps for those who have no obligation or opportunity to be formed about irrelevant things 5000 miles away.

The thing that confused me was when you asked how much something was the seller would say "two hundred" but not mean "two hundred new zloty", i.e. PLN 200, but actually mean "two hundred thousand old zloty", i.e. PLZ 200,000, which was PLN 20. Even as late as 1998 some sellers would still say that.

I know it's very very hard for somebody as self-centered as you to understand that sometimes people do things for the good of humanity in general rather than them personally, but you need to accept that sometimes we do. Of course you don't, but thankfully not everybody is as unpleasant as you.
The real question is why you try to insist that I'm "hiding out" in Poland when you know full well that I have businesses registered in my own name. I disagree. JR and Novi are only giving back what the others give out freely and pay no price for it. The personal attacks on Novi's daughters, or JR are really just evidence of the scumbag mentality some have. Civil discussion cannot be had with many here, there is an overwhelming need for three or four people to try to feel or assert supiriority over others because they cant accomplish this in real life.
