IF EU let refugees to Europe

The irony of Brits judging Hungarians. ALL refugees should be shipped to London and New York. Your warmongering caused this mess.

Brits judging Hungarians

Clueless.

If that had been Britain, there would have been aid agencies, ambulances to physically help, transport, sanitation, you name it.
Poor economy or not, this happened in a modern European capital. The images of rows of cops standing there like robots show that Hungary has learnt nothing from the past.

They can afford to pay a huge police force, with their idiotic designer styled uniforms, but they can't get organised properly to get the Red Cross in on the task?

Hopeless.

DougPol1,

when will you Brits learn from your endless mistakes? Today you take them in and proclaim how self-righteous you are. Tomorrow you will be bombing their hometowns because they are "backwards and trying to hurt Britain"

Comical. Repeating the same mistake over and over. The entire Globe is collectively laughing at Western-Europe.

Amazing how discussions like this always bring the racists out from under their stone to try and argue (but only succeed in losing their pathetic argument). And in the meantime people in Western Europe are responding admirably to the humanitarian crisis and ignoring the racist whiners.

It's 2015, the word racist has lost all meaning.

Weren't you Brits just blowing up their homes 12 months ago? Hilarious stuff here.

We are the racist
You are the murderers

It is getting completely out of control. According to tv, quite a few migrants from Africa (Ghana, Senegal...) who were in shelters in Budapest have been let go by the Hungarian authorities and are now walking towards Austria and Germany along with the rest of the refugees. Also heard that Syrians and Afghans have fought against each other on some Greek island.

Although I don't appreciate Eastern European position, Merkel and co are completely irresponsible and I am really getting scarred.

The only one that had made sense re issue was Hillary Clinton.

It was only to be predicted. The Hungarians have obviously decided to concentrate their efforts on securing the Hungarian border, and as a small country, it will be easier to deploy their defence forces on the border than guarding camps.

It's just madness, and Germany has done the worst possible thing by making it clear that anyone arriving will be looked after well.

My prediction is that Hungary will let people just go until they're ready to secure the Serbian border - and then at that point, it will be nearly impossible for anyone to cross.

@Delph: Yes, it was to be expected but our "genius" politicians did not think about it. The Hungarians may even empty their jails (if foreign prisoners) and let everybody move westwards. Also how many terrorists or would be terrorists? Merkel and co deserve to be locked up as they are really dangerous. I doubt that most Germans agree with her...

Migrants should have been thoroughly screened before sent anywhere. H. Clinton had suggested the EU (+ UN?) to open refugee centers in North Africa and sort them out but since Merkel needs 6 million workers by 2030 because German women don't have kids, we have a complete mess in Europe. I have read in a lot of fora that Germany is trying to destroy Europe once more....

Exactly, it actually opens up a dangerous precedent for poorer EU countries to simply turn a blind eye to some things (such as 'accidentally' leaving doors open) while letting Germany deal with it. Germany seemingly has no real idea what to do with them.

That would've been the best move. Combine it with a very heavy presence on the sea and make it crystal clear that anyone caught in the EU will be immediately removed to the North African centre pending processing would soon radically change things. Who would waste their time attempting to get in if they knew that immediate return to Morocco would follow?

They'll do as they always do. Panic about it then deal with it logically.

Who are those people? Are they asylum seeking refugees? I think not! I think majority of those people are Muslim illegal immigrants.
People who are really in danger are still in Syria. Need I remind you that so called freedom fighters in Syria are robbing and murdering Christians on a daily basis, there is about 800 000 Christians in Syria. I say, by all means help them but send back those illegal immigrants who are not Christians anyway, at least i.e. 95% of them.

most of them 20-30 years old males, well fed, wearing expensive clothes and smartphones, very aggressive towards locals as they proved in Hungary, when they were attacking people.and very demanding . this is mass parasites attack on social money in Europe. don't be fooled.next 2 millions waiting to get through from Turkey.this is end of Europe..and europeans deserve it..this is price for stupidity.

And meanwhile the crisis continues. The people in Austria who are welcoming the refugees tonight are to be commended and the Germans should be proud of their response. I think we'll see a more pro-active approach from Poland too.

The big problem is what will happen if Germany can't cope with the numbers. Merkel will be under huge domestic pressure (both from the right and the left, and even her sister party in the CSU) to relocate some elsewhere, but there will be solid opposition from the V4+a few others.

It's only a "what-if" scenario, but the nightmare scenario for Germany has 1 million+ turning up in Germany after transit countries turn round and say "let Germany deal with it". Germany will obviously attempt to push the responsibility onto others, but it would be political suicide for many politicians in some countries to do so.

Having said that, I suspect the next pressure point will be on the Croatian border with Serbia.

next 2 millions waiting to get through from Turkey

Are they in danger in Turkey? I think that those people who have no means or money necessary to escape dangerous war zones are in a real danger. Those are vulnerable people in need of help unlike those already safe in countries like Turkey.

There is an election coming up in Canada too. This is also a topic for the three leading parties here. I think the number floated around is bringing in 10,000 Syrian refugees over 3 years, but obviously this can change.

Another strike against the EU are the problems with the euro, and the economic situation in Southern Europe. I also wander how long the EU will survive in its present form. I do think it will break up eventually or become much looser association.

I do but then again I am a nobody. It is so obvious that you are in support of your Muslim brothers spreading Islam jon.

You are allowed to stay here but you are not allowed to be telling us what to do in OUR country!

Sad part is national it just takes time before they do start their demands like in every other country they have invaded.
Here is another good example:

Let me show you something in case with development of situation.

In Hungary, this refugees issue makes that bearers of Nazi ideology coming to a focus of society, what in turn increase their influence. Now, add to it powerful Nazi force in Ukraine and Croatia and, we have entirely new perception of situation in Eastern Europe. Things gets ugly? and immediately new question arises - who have to profit on it?

Jobbik on refugees: Shoot first and ask questions later
budapestbeacon.com/public-policy/jobbik-on-refugees-shoot-first-and-ask-questions-later/26588

So what is Jobbik proposing?
.........
Allow the government to declare the situation a "humanitarian catastrophe", then permit the government to use the humanitarian catastrophe as a reason to declare a state of emergency, and, finally, authorize the military to protect Hungary's border and shoot at anyone crossing it unlawfully

What is making me incredibly angry is that Germany has chosen to completely act unilaterally in this case - no discussions with other EU members

That's not entirely true. They had consultations with the French before they quietly dropped the Dublin Rules.

telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/germany/11821822/Germany-drops-EU-rules-to-allow-in-Syrian-refugees.html

And I guarantee you that most countries in the EU are more than happy that they don't have to take care of the refugees anymore.

and all this chaos was created by the USA and just few western European countries- France, Britain and Germany, using NATO and EU as a tools. Obviously, this is just one of their tricks that have to ensure and prolong their dominance, by weakening opposition.

Let the light of Christ fill the earth. Lets open all our doors to the refugees, such were those who brought the Light to preserve which many politicians want to close these very doors. Let us open the doors. I will march forward to open the doors of our hearts.

An alternative:
Egyptian billionaire Naguib Sawiris has offered to buy an island off Greece or Italy and develop it to help hundreds of thousands of people fleeing from Syria and other conflicts.

The telecoms tycoon first announced the initiative on Twitter.
With help from ALL countries this may just work.

We were all disturbed to see the picture of the small boy lying dead on the beach at Bodrum. Sometimes the Media tries to manipulate the facts for sensationalism and their own agenda. The fathers account of the incident, never seemed entirely true and there now appears there is yet another version. It would be interesting to know your thoughts on this.

Islam is not compatible with European culture.

The arriving refugees should be greeted by a priest first. Offering two options: Get baptized and convert to Christianity on the spot to enter the EU or turn around and go back to where you came from.

This would get rid of those people who are here just for the money and to make trouble. Because real refugees who are fearing for their lives would convert on the spot.

Are these the people you refer to?

Do keep up Avalon. We've already discussed in this thread the reason for that - "food strikes" because the Hungarians were trying to force people into camps. They've just come from refugee camps, Egypt or wherever. Why would they be willing to be forced into another situation like that?

Would you want that for your family?
