[moved from]Crow, to me Kosovo is Serbia, the very least northern Kosovo, and a good amount of Poles feel this way too. However, Poland is doing NATO's bidding by accepting Kosovo's statehood. What was done to Belgrade in the 90s by NATO is the reason why Russians don't like the US to this day.
At least of lot of country's support Serbia in this regard - green is countries that recognize Kosovo as independent, gray is not (as of May 2008).
They should've stayed with Serbia - the Kosovar economy is in shambles... but that's discussion for a different thread.

Keep in mind Poland use to have an issue during Communism of plane hijacking which would now be thought of as a terrorist incident/attack/etc. Basically, people would get on a plane and try to force it to land in a non-Communist country like West Germany, Austria, etc. This actually happened quite a few times.
