I learned one lesson today...When shopping for a car, NEVER, EVER get stuck with a saleswoman.

No sht, they are as relentless as a mosquito.

In my case today, she would win the award for the most repulsive salesperson of the year.

Today, I went to see a Corvette. 2012, 39 grand, red. My heart is beating faster. My first test was the seat. Perfect. Box 1 checked. Box 2: Getting in and out. Perfect. Box 3: exhaust sound better than Bach.. Box 4: a five-minute test ride to see if the suspension is not too stiff.

She: if we go for a ride, are you going to buy it today?

If this stupid broad took Man Psychology 101, she would know that buying a Corvette is like falling in love. It's a gradual process a salesperson is supposed to feed at just the right pace. Instead, she gave me the equivalent of: if we fu*ck tonight, are you going to marry me?

My response to the Corvette chick: Are you married?

No.

But I am and want to stay married and that is why I want my wife to have a chance to see the car to let her feel that she is part of the deal.

Can you call her before we go for a test ride?

That fell through because divine providence is leading you toward a 1969 Corvette Stingray. Have you ever had the pleasure of cruising in one if those? That's like marrying a supermodel with a pleasant personality.

2012 and 2013 are the most comfortable 'vettes ever. The problem is finding the right options and colors. I want the one in #557. Love this color, 430 hp, and 4.2 zero to 60.

That's why smart men never take their wives or - god forbid - kids with them. When I go to a dealer, my first question is exactly like this: Are you guys slimy crooks that pad bills with bullsh*it fees?

Just like that...Most wives would faint hearing that from their husbands because most women are desperate to always be nice.

She asked that because there are a lot of tire kickers that just want to take a hot car for a free spin.
She was asking to see if you were serious about buying it or just wanted to go for a joy ride.
That is my guess.

I would have walked right away. I cant stand sales slime. If she pi$$ed me off enough, I would contact the sales manager and tell him I was ready to buy the car until I met your obnoxious saleswoman. So, goodbye...... Then watch him beg for you to come back and he will take care of it personally:)

You can actually go online at Ford and build your own car by choosing the model and accessories you want and pick it you at the dealership avoiding the Sales Slime. I havent tried this myself but want a new truck now.

One problem: they no longer make cars. They make small houses on wheels for the chicks and pussified "men".

Just came back from an upscale used car dealer to look at that red Corvette. That red turned out to be burgundy. I have no idea how they did it but I know why.

I also realized that a coupe with a manually removable roof is a very bad idea. I want my convertible back...even if it's a rag.

You can do it with a truck too.
I think you have to give them like a $1000 or two down to order it (takes months to get it built) and when it comes and you don't like it they will give you your deposit back.

Im thinking about doing it. I have almost 200K on the my truck now. Mostly hi way miles though. Everyone is telling me to get a hybrid, but nothing is better than a regular gas engine imo. The gas prices will eventually go down after we expel Biden and the rest of his leftard nitwits.

That's why I am trying to claim one before they all go to car heaven. If I am lucky, mine will have a 6.2L engine, 430hp, and 4.2s 0-60. Don't ask me why I need it.

Good idea,my wife has 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid ,she loves it(and I hate that old crap) has 187k miles no problems and she wont change it.I have bought 3 new cars since she got hers.


I wonder whats with old men and fast cars,even in my club all men over 70 own sporty/fast cars.I still prefer comfi cars with toys,Even with family PBA cards I dont drive fast.

I do, too, and that's why I will keep my LS430 till it really falls apart which is never. That's why I need the other extreme. That 0-60 in 5 seconds or less is handy when following somebody doing less than the speed limit plus 8.
