OMG that is too funny - the thought of your 30 year old Moskvitch leaving some dumb villagers in a cloud of dust, only for your hubcabs to fall off when you go round the first bend in the dirt road

Girlie men like the PF patronizing man cvnt have hubcaps. Real men have "rims". As in "I dig those rims, man..."

I went to see one of those yesterday. It looked like a Corvette and the a-holes wanted $37,000 for the thing.
You just can't trust those damn Russians...

Speaking about Corvettes...No wonder you can find one that's ten years old with 5000 miles. They are so bad nobody drives them. It's like marrying a 70 IQ pretty bimbo you never take office parties.

I always wonder why over 60 people drive them fast cars and by me near the beach esp in summer old farts riding there convertables with open roof.I had a Chrysler lebaron convertable once to take kids to the beach,so messy to drive with the open roof,the freaking hair is messy eyes are watery and dust in mouth.I think fast cars should be left for people under 35.Same with mustangs,I know a old fart in my club just bought one yuck.

Simple. Corvettes are too expensive for 18 to 30-somethings. Then from 30 to 60 you are married and under adult supervision. Finally, when the kids are gone and you have the money, it's Corvette time! The problem: getting in and out.

If you can do that with some grace, you discover that riding in one is torture so you just garage it and wait for the next occasion to show it to your friends, if you still have them. That's why the red and yellow 'Vettes are more expensive. Like a girlfriend with AOC lipstick and 5-inch heels.

Luk= Lukoil is a russian company. But I see another problem. Nobody can drive Corvette in high heels.

I believe that is a Camaro and not a Vette.
Correct me if I am wrong.
I wouldn't complain about being the front seat in it, however.

I am obviously older than you are and remember the Camaro's in the early 70's which the one in the picture is.
I used to have one back in the day, great gas mileage.
They had round tail lights.
Google them.

Driving to Sunday mass in such vehicles is very trendy in our village - coz we appreciate a combination of tradition with modernity.

I am going through a major crisis...I have this itch to buy another car and I am torn between stupid and fun vs adult and so fu*cking boring that my eyes are red from crying myself to sleep.

I mean a Corvette or an XK vs another very practical 4-door sedan. I would hate to decide this by a coin toss.

The Corvette I drove this morning decided for me. Every time I would step on the gas to enjoy those 4 seconds in 0 to 60, the noise from the exhaust was deafening. So I stopped stepping on the gas hard and, thus, defeated the very reason for this car to exist. In ten minutes I was back in my Lada that looks like an LS430 and its silent power.

Have them take off the high-performance exhaust pipes and install some mufflers that get rid of the noise unless you plan on racing LS430 which you would still smoke with a 3.3 second 0-60 Corvette.

On the downside of the Corvette........you really would be committing a mortal sin to drive one on the salt covered roads in Chicago in the wintertime.

Quit dreaming like you are 20 years old again as a car should be like you, its owner, built for comfort, not speed.
Face it Rich, them days are over so quit drooling down memory lane and get another Lexus.

I at least passed the test of getting in and out fairly gracefully.
I want a car that either doesn't exist or is too expensive: quiet, comfortable, and still capable of 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds. Yes, I am still that irresponsible.

Rebuild your Lexus into a sleeper by boring it out with a super charger and tuned headers.
