Huge places, free loaners, free car wash, coffee, snacks, internet, TV,

You are missing a lot, dealership by me has free sandwiches, hot breakfast sandwiches in morning, cold non alcoholic drinks, virtual golf range if you into golf, massage chairs and the VIP treatment by your rep and valet service, vacuum the whole car and much more that I forget. In fact Lexus dealership in Warsaw has some of that too but still not as good as in States.

Cargo pants

MPG=Miles per Gallon.

Alien
5 Mar 2023  #935

Thanks, now I know, my Golf makes 38 MPG.

Back to the car. Is there any electric car user on PF to change own experiences with us?

Alien

change own experiences

Why makes my mobile "exchange" to " change" automatically?

Hey, Poles, try Lexus LS460. You are going to love how super quiet it is...You can rip into Russia while driving and your buddy will not miss a word.

And the acceleration...That small block 4.6L V8 is really cool...Zero to 60 in 5.5 seconds.

Alien

try Lexus LS460.

How? There are only 12 LS 460 for sale in whole Poland.

Hey Mazur my freaking trucks giving me only 13.9 MPG locally like my old LX 570.
Yesterday I went to buy a car for my daughter and they offered me 1.9%APR,I was surprised but not after looking at my score. It showed 851 on my Credit card app and the dealer told me was 859,I didnt even know that some agencies secretly evaluate you at 900 max score.I thought 850 was max.I do have a black Amex though.

Is that what you call those?

Novichok
24 Mar 2023  #946

Nice fins!!

Don't you have to register them as weapons or at least post a warning?
I remember seeing those in Warsaw way back and putting them on my list of reasons why I had to come here.

Alien

Nice fins!!

These are not fins anymore, these are sails.

Joker

My babcia had an old Cadillac with those fins. I cant imagine how much gasoline it would cost to keep that land yacht running today. Its roomy though:) You could smuggle 20 migrants over the border with it.

They dont make em like they used too.

That picture was taken before men allowed women to vote.
What a huge mistake.

@Joker
I think that car looks great!
Yeah, they may have been gas guzzeling monsters and had terrible handling, but they just looked great!

Alien
27 Mar 2023  #951

PIRE experience. You have to charge your electric car 19 times over 3000 km. Nightmare.

jon357
27 Mar 2023  #952

19 times over 3000 km

Not unreasonable.

And of course that will change as technology develops. Plus, we do need to move steadily away from car use, especially among city-dwellers.

but they just looked great!

Dreadful cars but looked great and used to bounce.

Novichok

Not unreasonable.

...to a tree hugger...and so is starving half of humanity to "save the earth".

A certain generation are still wedded to the idea of mass car ownership and living miles from public transport.

Novichok
27 Mar 2023  #955

Try carrying 40 pounds of groceries on "public transport" if you are a 120-pound woman.

Woman (def.) - an adult human being that was born with ovaries.

Try carrying 40 pounds of groceries

They deliver nowadays. And nobody in a city needs to be more than 15 minutes from the shops.

Alien
27 Mar 2023  #957

15 minutes from the shops.

As you age, 15 min. can become very, very long.

Novichok
27 Mar 2023  #958

All very weak arguments. So I have a better one. A carless person cannot be carjacked by a nig*ger. Robbed, shot, raped, but not carjacked.

Car is safety, not just "transport".

As you age, 15 min. can become very, very long.

Add the pleasure of walking in a foot of snow when the temp is zero F...

I forgot ice...Real fun slipping when you are 80, carrying 20 pounds...

jon357
27 Mar 2023  #959

very,very long.

It's only a quarter of an hour.

I remember once in England, when I lived in Leeds, coming out of my house to nip to the corner shop. A woman who lived a few doors down came out of her house at the same time and we waved. As I disappeared aroound the corner, I saw her fiddling with her car keys and getting into her car.

I walked to the shop, no more than two minutes away and went in to buy whatever it was. As I was coming out, the woman was getting out of her car that she'd parked up somewhere and was walking towards the shop. I assumed she was stopping off there on her way somewhere.

When I got home, two minutes later, she was pulling up outside her house in her car and parking it. It was literally quicker to walk and she was only buying a packet of cigs.

There is a difference between shopping for a condom vs food for six.
