No. I'd be happier renting them as needed however we're stuck with it.

I suppose it helps the planet. And it's very quiet, like a milk float. I said that I don't care what he gets as long as it's comfortable, has leather seats, ideally isn't brand new (since I'm a cheapskate), doesn't involve credit and is better than our neighbour's jeep Cherokee.

The large Mercedes went for inspection. As a replacement car, I got a small A250e, a hybrid. When you start, you can't hear the engine, but when you step on the pedal while overtaking, the combustion engine turns on and jerks the car. We'll see how it drives today.

Lexus came out with RX plug in hybrid and my son wants it,we gonna go next week for test drive,electric for short runs and gas forlong drives.My priority is AWD and these freaking kids priority is Car play.

My wife has an old hybrid Highlander with over 200k miles and still runs well and she dont want to change it .Its fun to see the valet parking attendants trying to keep on start it as it is so quiet so we always put a note on the wheel to check the dashboard lights before they ruin the ignition.

She is a very wise woman. Like mine. I have a lot of miles on me and she still keeps me.

One of the best features of my 2016 LS460 is CONSUMPTION. The 1-minute vertical bars show the actual mileage from 0 to 30 mpg. It changed my driving habits as I am trying to get 30 as often as I can. Every time my foot gets heavy I get punished with less than 10-mpg bars

Why?who cares just enjoy the ride.I remember once we calculated the total diff is not more than 3 to 500 bucks a year.Also try using premium gas it gives me almost 20% more mileage.

At this point in my life, I actually enjoy driving at a speed limit +5. No stress, good mileage.
If I can choose, I take country roads instead of interstates.

What I hate most on the road is "driving at a speed limit -5". Unfortunately, in Germany it happens often, especially among older drivers or women.

On the other hand, in the lawless sh*ithole where I live if you are going at the speed limit it feels like you are standing still. No cops...

Its funny how in NJ its only 2 pts plus fine + safe neighborhood + drug free neighborhood+etc etc for a 125$ fine comes to almost 500$ for that stupid stop sign.funny is that there is no points and just a minor 25$ fine+ BS charges on jumping a red light when caught by camera

Then again you can talk to the prosecutor after first roll call in the court and reduce or eliminate the points with higher fine.

I did,when I lived in NYC,to fit in those tight parking spots,but those days cars had steel bumpers and nowadays with these plastic bumpers forget it.

About car prices...In Ireland, Lexus ES350 is $95k. In the US, it's $48k Adjusting for US wages being 75k vs, 62k in Ireland, that ES is over twice as expensive.

Another mystery. Poland's average wage is $17k. In the UK, it's $54k or over 3 times higher. Why would a sane person move from 54 to 17?

I don't think it's ever been sold in Ireland. We have the ES300 which costs about 60,000 Euros, that's about 64,000 dollars at the present exchange rate. Where did you get your figures from? Salary is wrong too!

I took a Google tour of Dublin and noticed the narrow streets and lack of parking spaces and private garages.
All the cars I saw were parked on sidewalks. Is this a problem in Ireland?

Cars in Europe have always been more expensive than in America, but maybe you can get better discounts in Europe.

Where do you park them? All those narrow streets are very cute but make owning a car next to impossible. At some point, we had four before my kids left for good.

LOL they dont,they have one car in a family and always someone is driving lol.
