Weird question - a portable device that you can pop a CD in to and watch a film?

Okay this is weird and I won't be surprised if nobody knows what I am talking about.

A family member has mentioned something they would like to have, but I have no idea what they are talking about.

They said they saw it in a shop. They described it as a portable device that you can pop a CD in to and watch a film or view photos or whatever.

It's not a tablet, ipad, laptop or phone. Apparently it's a much more basic device (they are over 50 and not too clued up on technology) and can probably be bought for £20-£30, perhaps a little more. Does anyone have any idea what they are talking about?

That must be it I assume. I thought it would be but then she mentioned watching photos on it and it threw me off. Then again if you stick in a CD that has photos on it, I assume you can look at the photos.

The first of those ones on Allegro certainly does that ("Odtwarzane formaty: DVD, CD, MP3, MPEG4, WMA, DVD-R, DVD + R, DVD-RW, DVD + RW, CD-R, CD-RW, VCD, SVCD, JPEG").

Looking at the pictures on that listing, that one also has an SD card slot, so you could take a card straight out of a camera and shove it in there.

Yes, part of those devices have an USB too - good for music, movies and photos either - nice to have it. Just check which and how many formats it supports.
