Great win Germany, conratulations! Germany is into the final, what a relief , what a shame it would be if a host country that bribed its way through the first round went out in the next round. Luckily the German team is still here. Go Germany!
Better football weather tonight in Dortmund....no longer so hot as yesterday in Munich, but most probably alot more wet....more fitting for our central european contender! :)
Now fingers crossed for the Netherlands tomorrow (let's forget who their coach is for a moment).
When Ronald Koeman was still a player, he and Poland cooperated very well to eliminate England from the 1994 USA World Cup.
:)
England only managed a 1-1 draw in Chorzow and had failed to win in Poland. They needed for Poland to at least hold the Dutch to a draw and for them to win at least 7:0 against San Marino (because of goal difference) in the final round of matches to qualify for the World Cup in USA'94, which didn't happen and it costed the England manager Graham "Turnip" Taylor his job.
Remind us how Poland did?

Everyone knows that ever since that night at Wembley in 1973 when Poland eliminated England from the 1974 World Cup in front of the sold out home crowd (the first time ever that England missed out) Poland is considered the bogey team for England.

Nonsense. We did our best but the Dutch outplayed us. Are the English still crying about it? Pathetic...
The problem with England is that they are so overhyped, it makes one want to throw up. Before every-single-f*cking tournament. Of course they never win anything but still we hear how great they are and that next time they will amaze the world. Meanwhile, English football is destroying the sport with ridiculous players' wages and draining talent from weaker leagues.
In this tournament they played almost as abysmally as the French. They struggled in the group stage, almost got kicked out by Slovakia (!), and were losing against mediocre Switzerland only to again save themselves by the skin of their teeth. Their loss today will be a victory of football.
