Examples of popular Polish music?

Anyway, here's a good one:

Indeed it is! A good post from a good band!

The piece in 1076 is not one of them.

Sorry, I didn't get that.... how far back is 1076? Well over 1,000 years ago methinks, well before America was even discovered!

Thank you, I didn't want to say anything.

Thank God!And you saved me time to post my last post tonight!

Hopefully, this thread still has a slim chance of surviving, but the only people I see supporting this thread so far are not Poles!
Where are all those patriotic Poles?Or is this forum just made up of foreigners with no real affiliation to Poland?
We will soon see.

So here I go supporting you!

Good tune!

a supposed Polish forum is not supporting a Polish Music thread!

Not that many Poles here to start with and not everyone likes Polish music I suppose.

here's a good one:

Great minds....I posted that one a couple weeks back :)

This one's fun. I know the singer fairly well. He's a decent guy.

He's from Kielce and mostly produces music in the studio but performs too.

This one's fun.

I really like that one. I'll have to look up more about him.

This band are also from Kielce and I really like them:

Wheels of Steel Band - Ja jestem pieszy

Wheels of Steel Band - Kolejna miłość

Wheels of Steel Band - Let me know

.

I really like that one

Me too, nice post @jon357!New music to me but I enjoyed it.

Wheels of Steel are another band that proves that country music in not exclusive to the USA.

Wheels of Steel Band

They sound good.

I'm not a massive rock fan (but go to rockers pubs in England since the people are generally nice) and don't like everything this band do, however this al um (their best known one) is good.

@jon357

I can't say I particularly liked the song you posted but Lao Che were/are a very experimental band and as far as I know they are still going strong.

@Miloslaw
On a lot of albums, especially concept albums, I sometimes find the first song is the worst song. It's worth listening to the whole album.

Lao Che are interesting people, all devout Christians.

Very true.

Lao Che are interesting people

They are indeed.

this al um (their best known one) is good.

Maybe I need to listen to more of them. That particular track sounds very disjointed to me.

It's getting quite late and I have a busy day tomorrow, so just one post from me on this thread tonight.

A touch of nice Polish Prog Rock.

My last Polish Prog Rock post on here tonight.

Obviously, Polish Prog Rock has not gone down very well on here, so I'm switching to Polish Blues, which is a bit different from British or American Blues but still has the taste of it.

More Polish Blues......

I'll end my posts with this one, which is a slightly Polish take on The Blues, but superb nonetheless.

I will try to keep it alive.

First of all I would like to say that I am very glad that Pawian has stopped trolling this and the other music thread. He is not stupid and he has worked out that I know a great deal about popular music.Even Polish music. And that it's not about "Google and Paste"......long may it last, for now Pawian, you have my respect!

Last one tonight.this is a very good band.

This may be a bit too heavy for some of you, but hey,Polish music excels at Heavy Metal, Rap and "Girlie Pop".What did you expect me to post?

Miloslaw
2 Jun 2024  #1102

OK, I hear you, you want to hear some of the more popular and silly Polish music...... you got it.....

I must admit that I do have a bit of a soft spot for Bednarek, I love his voice for a start.

silly Polish music.

I think that song got played to death years ago. Always seems to get played at birthday celebrations. I quite like it.

The Hollow Quartet song I've heard before. The brother and sister duo Kwiat Jabłoni were part of that group going years back.

I only have two posts tonight on this thread, both from the Polish band Hetman, named after the founding member Jaroslaw Hetmanowski. and as far as I know, the band are still going.

They were/are a very talented, powerful and melodic Hard Rock band.

Miloslaw
3 Jun 2024  #1107

My last post on here tonight is from Hetman again.

4 Jun 2024  #1108

I am going for a bit of what @joker would call "Girlie Rock" tonight..... ;-)

Miloslaw
4 Jun 2024  #1109

Polish Rock is improving year on year and sensibly, in my opinion, most bands now sing in English.... because they can.....

Miloslaw

Another one from Warsaw band White Highway.
