That song sucks the big one...wtf??? You stated many times before that you used to work in the music industry, that could mean anything

What's up, man? Bad mood today? Nobody forces you to like that song. You just fail to understand the significance of that particular concert.

My favorite Genesis song is

A classic!

The lamb lies down on broadway. Gabriel's last genesis album, totally him, but his bandmates had enough of his theateratics.

PG solo had bigger hits than Genesis, is a toss up....

The creativity is unmatched with new music.

@TheOther
Your 801 post left me cold but "The Carpet Crawlers" is also one of my favourite Genesis songs.As Joker said,"A classic!".

@Crow

You dare to interrupt some good music posts with $hit Serbian music with $erbian tarts waving their fat ar$es at us?
Go away Crow......

@Joker

Santana is always good by me, the earlier stuff the better.
Love Santana!

Me too!

This is my favorite Genesis song

"The Knife" really is a Genesis classic!

PG solo had bigger hits than Genesis, is a toss up....

For me, I preferred him in Genesis, but some of his solo stuff was pretty good too.

Even though the songs suck, hes a good sport, always. He does try....

Talking about Crow;

Even though the songs suck, hes a good sport, always. He does try....

That's true, but he just doesn't try hard enough.......

As threatened, I am going to make some Ska music posts tonight."Ska" was a west indian and largely Jamaican genre of music that preceded "Rock Steady" that preceded "Reggae" but to a degree, all these styles are mixed,I will try to concentrate on "Ska" tonight but if I drift into "Rock Steady" or "Reggae" please don't "Shoot the Sherriff"..... LOL!!!!

At this stage of "Ska" the difference with "Reggae" is obvious, it becomes much more blurred later.

So, is this "Ska" or "Reggae"?
Great tune though even though it's a Chelsea FC favourite and I'm an Arsenal fan!

Now, here we go..... Ska and Reggae was the music of the Skinheads and later the Suedes(Skinheads more like Mods) and everyone thought these white young yobs were racists.... the fact was that they loved Ska and Reggae music and many of their members were black...... but they did hate what they called "Paki's", which meant all Asians......This was a huge skinhead anthem......

This tune is much later, but for me, this is "Ska" and not "Reggae".......

This is probably the song that introduced British audiences to West Indian music.

I'll end my posts with this one, which led to the creation of a white North London band called Madness...... which is another story.......

OK, I get it, Ska music is not popular amongst PF members.......

Tribute bands are difficult to gauge, some are better than others.
Led Zeppelin are a particularly difficult band to copy.....but this lot do a pretty good job, my sister in law saw them live recently and loved them.
Maybe not perfect like the Floyd or Genesis tribute bands but I'm sure they are great live!

You will never be able to see these bands live, as I have done, so these superb tribute bands are precious.
This is Musical Box a Genesis tribute band.
