I am an Arsenal football fan.
And this tune has been heavily used as a warm up/intro song to our home games.
I love the song and think the video is great too!

A slightly more gentle Dance tune now, but still very good.

This is an absolute Dance music classic!!!

My penultimate post tonight......

This is my last post tonight, some of you may call this Metal/Dance, but just as Prodigy, a Dance band, introduced some Heavy Metal into their music, Rammstein, a Heavy Metal band, introduced some Dance into their music..... music changes and evolves.....embrace it!!

The lead singer is shouting and it just sounds like noise to me.

Your hearing aid is failing... :))

@Miloslaw
Yeah, Faithless and Darude are classics. Remind me of some good times in Berlin...

If you are into that kind of music, here are two more. The first from Ghana, the second from Germany:

Sad :( but thanks for the great tunes.

know places like Marseille or Toulon, you will get it!

The street dance scene :)

Loved the Fat Boy Slim and Faithless tracks.

This is a great track by Fat Boy Slim featuring Christopher Walken in the video.

Weapon of Choice:

The Chemical Brothers - Block Rockin' Beats

@TheOther

Your posts were OK, but neither of them really did it for me.

British Blues legend John Mayall dies at 90

Now, here was a guy that ALWAYS did it for me...... pure genius who always surrounded himself with the best,new and upcoming musicians!

John Mayall RIP.

The Chemical Brothers

There is huge love for the Chemical Brothers in Russia.

But the biggest group like that for Russians that grew up in the 1990s is The Prodigy and Aphex Twin.

@Feniks

I know very well and like both the videos you posted.Very good.

I have just two more dance tunes to post,but these are veering more towards Trance......

This is Chicane with "Offshore".

My last post, for now, of this genre, comes from a band that many of you will never have heard of before.They were/are called The Future Sound of London and this tune is called "Papua New Guinea".The"Intro" is quite long, but it's worth waiting for the tune to kick off and the video is superb.

I loved The Stranglers.

Mhmm, a great band.

"Golden Brown", used in the movie "Snatch", made it popular with my generation.

25 Jul 2024  #915

You are obviously a bit younger than me, that was indeed a great song but they also did many great ones earlier, a tad more rebellious.....

Miloslaw
25 Jul 2024  #916

Hey,Bobko, listen to this one, especially to the references to Trotsky and Lenin.

Miloslaw
25 Jul 2024  #917

When this song came out in the mid seventies, everyone understood what it was about.But since then, left wing and PC people have got upset.
*** is short for Gollywog and is a British term similar to "******".
But this was an anti racism song!!!!!!
The piggin' idiots that got "Offended" could not understand that because they were too "Offended".

Look, even PF have censored two of the words I used! W0g and N1gger!!!!

Vimeo is a major music streaming service. Clicking on the link was too much work? LOL! You really missed something.

Okay, a little easier now... :)

It wouldn't show the video unless I "joined"......not impressed.

In the meantime, two great posts from you!

Vimeo? That's weird. I can access the content without being asked to join. Ok, try the Internet Archive instead:

"Feel like a w*og" is one of the more popular songs of the Stranglers. Thanks for posting. We used that expression in Oz, too, by the way. But mostly for Middle Easterners and Southern Europeans.

Aphex Twin.

I can only recall the song 'Come to Daddy'. Sounds just like The Prodigy could have done it even down to the style of video accompanying it. Not bad though.

censored on Youtube)

I can see why. One of The Strangler's best in my opinion. Thanks for The B52's track. I loved them back in the day.

The B52's - Planet Claire

One of my favourite bands next.

Gangsters - The Specials

Echo & The Bunnymen - Never Stop

This will take you back to a time when music was great and fun to dance to.
Before most of the clowns here were even born.

That link worked and a very sleazy performance it was!But, musically, not one of the better versions.

@Feniks

I liked your B52's post.Believe it or not, I have never heard that before but have always quite liked that band because they are so weird and quirky.

The Specials post is a bit of a classic, but to be honest, they were not one of my favourite Ska bands, I might make some Ska posts at some point.

I always liked Echo and the Bunnymen.

@johnny reb

I can't say that song, classic though it may be, did much for me.
But two things surprised me, one was that when I once posted an Andy Williams song, an American came back and said he had never heard of him!
Is that believable?
Second, is that you still have not learnt how to embed posts........ please catch up Jim.

Miloslaw
26 Jul 2024  #926

Inspired by JR Jim's post I'm going to break out into a a type of song that I rarely post, because I think it's brilliant!

Andy Williams - "Home Lovin' Man"

TheOther

musically, not one of the better versions.

Very raw, powerful and intimate live performance. Look at how small the crowd is. There are probably more strippers on stage than people in the audience... :)

Here's a so-called super group that not too many people know of: "The 801".

That song sucks the big one...wtf???

You stated many times before that you used to work in the music industry, that could mean anything.... DJ`s claim to be musicians these days!😆

What musical instrument do you play? I play guitar. You can read musical notation as well, I presume?

He lived to 90:) Not bad huh?
