I think that technically this invasion looks like some nonsense. Where are Ukrainian soldiers equipped at least with anti-tank rifles?! Where are anti-aircraft guns?! And especially in Kiev and other large cities? Remember Russian envasion in Chechnya and devastation it caused. Is there no more loyal to govt. troops in Ukraine remained?

I wonder if Ukes are just waiting it out to fight a guerilla war. They know they can't compete with Russian air power, but on the ground they are in a better position. May not want to expose themselves right now. But, I'm no military expert--more of an expert on wishful-thinking.

We need to support the resistance with weapons and money and everything....and shelter the refugees....we can do alot also without NATO troops on the ground!

And at the same time hit Putin where it counts....right now Scholz doesn't want to cut Russia off SWIFT, but he said he is leaving that for later, a bigger mallet to hammer Russia with should the need arise....so that is still on the table!

(But his opinion is contested....alot of german politicians think otherwise and would totally use the SWIFT sledge already now)

NATO cannot officially use ground troops to destroy Russian forces, risk of nuclear war and all that, but we should learn from our enemies:

Is there too much risk for a soldier's lives when they use anti-tank Javelinas and anti-aircraft Stingers in large cities? They could just make a shot from the corner and run away. In 1990-the Russian troops experienced devastating losses while attempting to storm 300.000 Grozny with tanks against the rebels who were eqiupped just with primitive bazukas. And had to level most of city to the ground to capture it completely. Kiev is 10 times larger than Grozny!
