bit more western territories.

They daren't touch the west. They know what would happen to them.

They know what would happen to them.

Tell us, what will happen if Ukrainians will strike some Russian city with US-provided MLRS and Russia in responce will fire a salvo of Iskanders to logistics hubs along Polish border (at its western side).

PolAmKrakow

@Velund
I think you would see the US immediately stop sending anything other than traditional arms if the Ukraine soldiers use these missile systems to hit inside of Russia. That said, Crimea is not Russia, and I hope they bomb the F out of it.

Velund
2 Jun 2022  #3874

That said, Crimea is not Russia

I heard also many times that NY and Wash. DC is not America..... Is it the same story?

But back to topic - where is the edge for Poland, that separate help to Ukraine and entering direct war with Russia?

jon357

what will happen if Ukrainians will strike some Russian city

Isn't it obvious? More orcs will be roasted.

along Polish border

Attempting to damage something on the border of a NATO member and accidentally crossing that border would be the worst mistake russia had ever made.

Novichok

That said, Crimea is not Russia,

Crimea is part of the Russian Federation. Forever.
I hope this explanation is helpful.

@Velund
Putin does not have the ball$ and he has even said so. No way he wants a war with NATO or even just USA. MAD dummy.

@Novichok
Watch and learn. Crimea will be turned into a Russian bomb shelter as the Russians have done to Eastern Ukraine. Too bad no one drops a bomb on Palatine to take care of the traitors there.

Novichok

Crimea will be turned into a Russian bomb shelter

How did you learn to make such profound and accurate predictions?

Too bad no one drops a bomb on Palatine

I did just yesterday. I asked why the fu*ck are we sending 40 billion bucks to Ukraine while our schools are unprotected.

PolAmKrakow
2 Jun 2022  #3879

@Novichok
Oh now you want to protect schools? Profound and accurate? Maybe, maybe not. It doesn't matter how accurate or not. What matters is, now that Putin has blown his wad with most of his smart weapons, and he is forcing conscription of men into his army from occupied regions of Ukraine, all while getting ready for pancreatic cancer surgery tells me that things are about to turn the advantage of Ukraine. Hope your little punk of an idol does not survive so we can see Russia thrown into an absolute hurricane of a power struggle. Then you will only have a corpse to worship and hopefully you and the others will disappear again.

Novichok
2 Jun 2022  #3880

Oh now you want to protect schools?

No, of course, not. I like to hear their screams.
I would rather spend 40 billion on weapons that will be destroyed and captured by Russia. At least we did "something".

Then you will only have a corpse to worship

Many worship Jesus. We don't worship those who are still alive.

Crimea is part of the Russian Federation. Forever.

The question is how long the Russian Federation will last... in the late 1980s I read a lot of how the Soviet Union was indivisible and woud last forever....

The future... can be hard to predict.....

Novichok
2 Jun 2022  #3882

The question is how long the Russian Federation will last...

Forever enough. There is nothing inherently sick there to cause internal rot. That was not the case with the USSR, a very dumb version of totalitarianism. The new enlightened model is China - a hybrid. They will outlast the Western "democracies" without turning sweat.

@Novichok
If you have been waiting 2000 years for your best friend to return from the store with beer, he probably isn't coming. Putin will go down in history like Stalin, and Hitler. A little man who killed a lot of people and nothing more. A loser like only a few others in history. And when the infighting in Russia over power is over, there will not be much left. Then we will see what parts of the "federation" stick with Moscow and who leaves begging forgiveness from the west. History repeating itself.

There is nothing inherently sick there to cause internal rot.

The RF is over-centralized (a sign of fragility not strength) with an apathetic population that's been encouraged to not be interested in national politics (so they have no stake in keeping the system going) and several regions that are unhappy with the central government.

Military failure and worsening economic problems are a recipe for disintegration...

Putin will go down in history like Stalin, and Hitler.

Why don't you create a linear, not logarithmic, misery scale and place all three on it. Then step back, take a deep breath is realize how insane your post is.

PolAmKrakow

@Novichok
Do you know how stupid you look praising Putin? Stalin killed about 20 million people, most of which were Russian. Hitler killed how many? Here is a good book for you nybooks.com/articles/2011/03/10/hitler-vs-stalin-who-killed-more/ Putin has killed many of his own people over the last twenty something years, and now he is branching out. While branching out in business is good, his diversification program is that of a little tyrant who has mental problems.

I now small minded people gravitate toward cult of personality people, Putin is just that, so was Hitler and I can name a few others, but for the sake of discussion will limit to these two little men. Hitler did his posing and practicing his act in front of the mirror, and Putin does his posing on sports fields and ice arenas. Hitler was a much better speaker, but Putin is a much better creative story teller. Both are mass murderers who have never actually killed anyone themselves. Lots of commonality.

NATO ruined Ukraine. Its a fact. Greedy stupid NATO that also destroyed itself in the process.

I think your logic suffers from an absence of it. Novichok asked a simple request of you. You started well, listing the 20M people allegedly killed by Stalin, but then seem to have lost the thread again.

Novichok
2 Jun 2022  #3889

but then seem to have lost the thread again.

Watching their fake superiority is so much fun.
I found an error in my last post. Here is an improved version:

Then step back, take a deep breath and realize how insane your post is.

I think your logic suffers from an absence of it.

...and oversupply of irrational anger.

NATO ruined Ukraine.

I tried my very best to save it with my Einstein-class Z-P=0.
No, destroying Ukraine was not worth the difference.

I have asked many times for someone to explain to me what Russia has that the rest of the world can not live without, and no one has answered. Every western nation is walking from Russia and everything Russian. We are willing to take losses doing so. Please answer this one question, and I will answer one. Really, the Putin bashing is boring, its low hanging fruit. But you Putin worshipers really are just disgusting people and no better than the Nazi's that worshiped Hitler, or the hard core commies who worshiped Stalin. You are all little wannabe Nazi's following an ideology that does not equate in todays world. Hilarious really that this can even exist in life today.

Bobko
2 Jun 2022  #3891

what Russia has that the rest of the world can not live without,

Hmm, let's see. I've been reading the news some, and it seems that two items that are top of mind are energy and food. Care to try living without those? Another is rare earth metals. Then there's something like 40% of world nickel production, etc, etc. Thats our commodities. Our real wealth is our people - the smartest people in the world. Russians usually win every Math Olympiad, every coding challenge, every chemistry and physics challenge, every chess tournament. I don't know why, or how this happens - but smart people keep getting born here despite the best efforts of people in charge.

That's a lousy way to start friendships.

Hmm, let's see.

That's how friends respond to friends.

Poland is the most Russophobic nation on Earth, even more than Ukrainians. Wow - respect guys! Poland #1 in everything that matters.

Bobko, since apparently you know Polish I recommend watching this video "Poles are Russophobes":

youtu.be/4PcQb-xWbNk

This guy lives in Poland and as far as I understand he's a Russian from Transnistria. He says that for all this time that he has lived in Poland he hasn't experienced any negative reactions from Poles, he talks about Russian propaganda (and shows examples on Russian TV) which makes Russians believe that Poland is a dangerous country for Russian speakers. He's also showing Soviet Army cemeteries in Poland and talks a bit about history and Soviet monuments with Poles.

Russians usually win every Math Olympiad

In the last 30 years, since 1992, you won International Mathematical Olympiad twice (1999 and 2007). Yes, I have this annoying habit of checking facts. ;)

Couldn't be arsed to check the records for Soviet Union, but still - for Russia's population size you did have disproportional success. Well done. It's probably as with chess in Soviet Union - a smart guy in the Free World would start a business, earn sh*tloads of money and go yachting with a bunch of blonde bombshells; a smart guy in Soviet Union... well... he played chess. ;)

@Paulina

Man this video is long. I'll try to watch it later. I watched one that Kania shared last night and I really enjoyed it.

Listen. If you went to Russia it would be the same. The overwhelming majority of Russian (95%+ I would hazard to guess) would treat you well knowing that you are Polish. The small minority of malcontents probably exist in any society. Russians like Poles as a people, because they see a lot of similarities.

Yes, I have this annoying habit of checking facts.

You have many annoying habits, this has been established. Fine. I admit I got a little patriotic there for a second without verifying the facts. However, I stand by my words in coding. Surprisingly Poland is third behind China and Russia in terms of best engineers in the world. Perhaps there is something to say about Slavic blood? Hmmmmm, Kania?

Well, I am both Slavic and an engineer (MSc electronics) by education, so I won't deny. :)

@Bobko
Wrong on so many points. Everything you mention can be found in other places. Intelligence? Please. Stalin started the purges and they have not stopped. Brain drain and intelligence killings are the norm for Russia. The west will find ways to deal without anything that is Russian. Some countries because they are lead by pussies who are afraid to take a little financial pain will always cave in. Thats just life. I have been to Russia several times and there is nothing the west absolutely needs.

@Novichok
I am not here to start friendships with any Russian Nazi's or Nazi's living in the west. I have no respect for either. Normally friends would try to meet at some point, I am not a person any Nazi would want to meet and express his opinion to. You Novi are at the minimum a traitor and Nazi supporter, Bobko is just another Nazi, and both of you are gutless staying at home doing nothing but irritating others. Paste that Z on your car in the US and lets see how much support you get.

Not cool BB, not cool :)

But to be fair, no Russian ever said that Germans are not clever and hard-working. It is an unfortunate trait you have.
