Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 4

What US doesn't want is Eurasia...ruled from Berlin-Paris-Moscow axis...American influence here greatly reduced Hence, the US involvment.

That is an excellent point.

Back to my question...

Already gave you the answer: the EU (at least its old part) does not have the will to handle the invasion properly. That, of course, stems from the fact that they don't have any vital national interest in Ukraine's victory. Quite the contrary - there is nothing that they would like to see more than quick Ukrainian defeat and going back to business as usual with Putin, cheap energy, low inflation, steady GDP growth etc.

That is an excellent point.

Thank you, Anti.

Why meld the EU into a single entity, and not just bolste NATO since it already exists

I can live with that too.....but then all stays as it is.....the militarily big hitter rule NATO, it's them who decide what we do...without elections or whatever...and that means the US! *shrugs*

Even at 2% no european member has really a voice....if Biden decides so no European could force the US to do something for Ukraine....and Poland or the Baltics alone would make Putin just lol...

We can't have it both ways...a disunified and at the same time militarily strong Europe is and stays a contradiction!

@Novichok
You make a great point with "Money, people, balls, nukes, IQ, ability to anticipate?", and I would agree that anyone over 60 would fit into the no balls, no ability, lower IQ, and obviously no nukes. But younger people are quite the opposite today. More and more are joining the military every day, and more of them would volunteer to fight and do not mind the sacrifice being made financially. The problem is the old guard who still control politics, same as in the US.

Kherson has fallen. That is as simple as it needs to be. Russia saved a lot of Orc lives by retreating and leaving the city. The first smart thing they have done. Now, if Ukraine gets across that river, Crimea would be a big target, and IF Crimea went back to Ukraine, Putin is absolutely done in Russia. It would wipe out everything he has done for the last 8 years. This is a very important time for both sides. Putin cannot afford any more losses, and he needs to try to negotiate now. Because once the ground freezes, the rivers freeze, and the Orc's have no heat, all the modern weapon resupply will have made it to Ukraine and the Orc's will be sitting ducks.

You like riding on our asses because it's cheaper and you can devote the money you don't spend to be like Denmark

It suits both sides right now.....we can spend the money elsewhere and the US can be sure (as Torqi so rightful stated) that no rival (military and what not) is growing out of Europe!

Poland is so eagerly helping kill Russians

Nobody is killing russians more eagerly than putain... (this is in line with historical tradition... russian governments kill lots of russians and russians mostly don't care, the same way cows don't care when you take one out of the herd to restock the freezer....

If it was left for the "old" Europe to deal with, the war would be over a long time ago and Russia victorious

yes, it's the US and UK and the countries that know russia best (Baltics, Poland) that have been the most helpful in keeping the russian cattle from stampeding...

11 Nov 2022  #487

Poland or the Baltics alone would make Putin just lol...

Oh, yeah? We'll see who will "lol" when we get all those Abrams, HIMARS, F-35, South Korean artillery and tanks, the drones, attack choppers and whatnot! If I were an enemy of Poland, I wouldn't be doing too much lol-ing in the near future. :)

a disunified and at the same time militarily strong Europe is and stays a contradiction!

Exactly. Economic and military unification is a must, but politically the EU should cut Poland some slack. We sent half of our equipment to Ukraine, accepted millions of their refugees, provided logistical and medical help etc. and practically served as one big reserve strategic hinterland for Ukraine, and what is the EU doing in this critical time of war? Blocking all our EU funds under some bogus excuses in hope of enforcing a government change. Doesn't look good... :-/

Gosh...didn't mean it sound so bad..

Yes, and we can only tell you, me and Kania, that when the situation in Germany becomes really unbearable and Germans move to and settle in Poland by droves, it will be them who will operate some of those new weapons Poland is going to purchase. Surprise! :):):)

There is something very embarrassing

.....that's why it is so important to learn and to accept that this is the political will on both sides of the Atlantic! Not a happenstance!

But who knows what happens with Russia....that invasion made many people rethink the "after WWII world order"....and might bring big changes in the future.

Will do!

Resounding dog barking, followed by a growl. Then, suddenly, crunch of vertebrae and a piercing silence. The sound of a cell phone dialing... "Hello, Fritz. Remember that funny little red and white English bulldog running around? She lost her sense of smell in her old age and had an accident... We have to organize a wake. Yes, right on the Russian-German border. Beer on you, vodka and snacks on us. Then we'll go together and ask that bastard behind the canal who was feeding her something bad and sending you bills for food..."

11 Nov 2022  #491

Guilty as charged.

It's worse than that.

You just admitted that that threat of Russian invasion of Western "democracies" is pure bull. You would be acting differently if you thought it was a real possibility.

Like, oh sh*it, what if the Yanks are not going to come to our rescue - again???!!! But you know that all that talk about how NATO is essential to stopping the red wave is pure crap and a handy justification to maintain the NATO self-perpetuating bureaucracy, promotions, trips, wine and cheese dinners, and a sense of importance.

One thing is pretty clear. If the West maintains its' military support of Ukraine, then Russia is going to lose. In the end, the side that has the greater supply of weapons (especially if those are superior) usually wins in conventional wars. Just as Nazi Germany was doomed once Operation Barbarossa failed and the USA entered the war (which ended up outproducing the Axis powers by themselves), Russia now faces the prospect of fighting a war against highly motivated defenders with a sheer endless supply of weapons. More and more countries are starting to produce new weapons for Ukraine after emptying their stocks. Even disregarding the damage done to the Russian economy by Western sanctions, this is simply nothing Russia alone could hope to compete with. Things might be different if China were to supply them, but Beijing does not seem to believe that the time is right to challenge the US openly.

Luckily for Ukraine, there are no signs that Western support will end anytime soon. Looks like the Biden administration has enough strength to keep supporting them until 2024/5, and even countries that were suspect like Italy have recently stepped up and provided more heavy weapons.

Great. Since Russia has awakened men in Euro pussies, tell the Yanks to go home.

May I ask why you are so interested in the US leaving? Not one US soldier had to die for Ukraine....but for example the US arms industry has a great time, which secures jobs and taxes en masse!

U.S. weapons sales in Europe are booming as Russia's war in Ukraine continues to rage

news.yahoo.com/us-weapons-sales-in-europe-are-booming-as-russias-war-in-ukraine-continues-to-rage-215801466.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAMWqGg8UMHF7-_oLFWjOnHynLqzHqFJaD5MdUqHVl2pWUy3sheZv0b63aP_GW2_o9SpvlEf5JJJJrhbBTsv3O9UiZG98b40OVil_YHpWwYoJBRCcHHT45KZH1JfKB-iFpDwZuPxKkJFv1zCg8WFXhV2YUv-ZJue7fO5yi7cvwAT_

And if you complained till now about the stingy european cowards....well...that too has changed because of this war....NATO was never that popular as right now and even Germany will start to pull more of her weight for the western defense at last....so...what exactly is your problem right now?

Nobody would need NATO anymore once the US does that!

That definitely would change the global landscape and may lead to a european unification in time....so....

Because I and other Americans are paying for your defense. When you cover all of our expenses plus 100% in profit I will change my opinion. Maybe.

Please do not insult me with "it's good for America" or other such crap.

Thanks, Joker. I started feeling lonely here dealing with these "guns are sooo bad" pussies.

Novi.....we pay for your weapons and services....WE keep your jobs and arms industry thriving....WE make sure our markets stay open for USian goods so that you can produce and sell to friendly capitalist allies....it's a win-win, a give and take....the US is many things but surely not stupid....start thinking!!!!

The moment the isolationists win it all breaks down...and where Europe would lean to then, well...who knows!

...resulting in a U.S. trade deficit of $24.0 billion.

Yeah...well...now imagine a Europe which doesn't care, trust or likes the US anymore!

The European Union and the United States have the largest bilateral trade and investment relationship and enjoy the most integrated economic relationship in the world.

policy.trade.ec.europa.eu/eu-trade-relationships-country-and-region/countries-and-regions/united-states_en

Bilateral trade and investment support millions of jobs in the EU and the US. Around 9.4 million people are directly employed. Indirectly, as many as 16 million jobs on both sides of the Atlantic are supported.

Transatlantic trade reached an all-time high of 1.2 trillion euro in 2021, surpassing pre-pandemic levels by more than 10%.

Hey boys remember that Russian girl that worked in the vegetable market? The one with the blonde hair, blue eyes, and beautiful smile? Yeah so now she is working in Warsaw and everyone is fvcking her in the toilet of the strip club she works at before she is sold into slavery in Dubai. Maybe if we can scrounge up enough rubles we can get a piece before she becomes dog meat. Great idea Vlad, and we will put her on a postage stamp as a warrior for Russia. Handling all that ammunition ;-) from the Arabs is not going to be easy.

Hilarious that you Putinazis are so upset now. More funny is the Russian media coming down on this retreat. And make no mistake, you only retreat when you are losing. Here is to mother Russia taking it in the a$$ as she gets forced out of Ukraine, she's a classy biatch! lol

Good thread (nothing new for those in the know, but maybe helpful for the less informed).

Why do russians support the war? (and they do.... it's not putain's war, it's russians' war)

twitter.com/azamatistan/status/1590846401675919360

shorter version: russians think they're better than everyone around them and regard any attempt at independence from russia as the result of manipulation from outside....

or... as I keep putting it: collective narcissistic wound, they think they're better than everyon else and others not agreeing drives them to blind fury and violence....

for confirmation look at the posts of russians here....

How symbolical and what a beautiful gift for me for Polish Independence Day, since I was rooting all the time for the liberation of that city from the bottom of my heart - people in Kherson with Ukrainian flags are cheering Ukrainian soldiers :))):

Ukrainians prepared a video for Polish Independence Day that is expression of their gratitude for the Polish help for Ukraine "Thank You, Poland!":

youtu.be/JdhdCugF2HQ

I got teary-eyed while watching it, because I know that this is just one case shown out of many, many, many...

The Ukrainian ambassador to Poland congratulated Poles on our holiday and this is what he said:

"- When you treat our pain as yours, we're missing together and we're crying together, we're rejoicing together, together we're doing everything in our power to win and live in united Europe."

"The Ukrainian diplomat also admitted that for him personally the most important is the support which Ukrainians are receiving from Poles on daily basis. - You give us faith in humanity and you're showing to the whole world what it means to show solidarity with those who need solidarity. - he said."
