Poland is even less capable military force than the ukraine. Its own military production outputs are miserable, and it has no strategic depth. The american force you rely on is just a bluff. They pack their bags when something serious is looming. Besides, they are just getting involved into this beforehand doomed middle asian adventure. Besides, South Korea ended up as a close ally to the USA and as things are currently going, the same might happen with Vietnam due to a shared concern over China.

Meanwhile Russia has already sacrificed more soldiers in its' war against Ukraine than the US has in all those 4 wars combined. Just one of the many reasons why the USA is still a superpower while Russia can hardly considered to be a Great Power at this point.
