The US money being spent is largely spent in the US for material production and labor costs. And still the US is not just blowing these things out for delivery. Why? Because the US is not really at war, and US lives dont depend on it. Its a proxy war, and not only do the US people not GAF, but neither do US business. Bobko raises the questions to be answered, and frankly they are pretty obvious questions. That said, if the US was really at war, it would take less than 90 days to switch to a war time economy and absolutely obliterate production numbers. But that is not going to happen. And honestly, any factory in the west, if the west were at war, that had workers who wanted time off of a trip to the spa should fire that POS immediately.

....destroying the Mullahs in Iran would help to end this ME conflict pronto, IMHO. They are the shadow power behind Hamas and Co....

Between whom though? It was not between Putin or Zelensky, nor between the foreign ministers. Russia just sent some guy from the third rank, someone not authorized to make any of the real concessions needed to make peace (in a personalized regime like Russia, that would be only Putin). This was at a time when the West was still not fully commited to sending heavy weapons, let alone tanks to Ukraine. An obvious Russian attempt at stalling while hoping that things got solved quickly on the battlefied.


Indeed. And the discovery destroyed any small chance of a quick resolution to the conflict, if we choose to believe that Russia was actually interested in such a solution in the first place (which again is highly doubtful).

Putin lies, stalls and deceives. That is what he does. It is what he did at Minsk when he initially claimed that the Russian soldiers in Ukraine did not belong to Russia and he has been doing it ever since. Even politicians who genuily hoped that they could help broker a diplomatic resolution like Scholz and especially Macron have by now realized this.


They are, but not by the West. Their country is being invaded by a man who utterly hates their nation and their national identity. Who lies every time he talks about Ukraine. Who has broken every agreement his country ever made with Ukraine. Who has made it the central mission of his reign to wipe their country, if not their people from the map.

Don't. Do not repeat the mistake we Germans made and trust any of his claims about Putin (whose friendship he has not renounced btw) or Russia.

Keep in mind that he has no government position, was not on any official mission when he visited Putin, neither from Berlin nor Kiev. He has no access to secret government information, and there is really no reason at all to take his word over the one from people who were actually involved in the negotiations, like the afore mentioned Israelian PM.

The American people will determine when the US is at war, not any president. Biden cant declare war on anyone because the people will not back him or his government. A proxy war with no American boys getting killed is not the US being at war. And if Biden trys to send US troops anywhere, January 6th will look like a kindergarten birthday party.

Stall tactics and lies like the Minsk accords? Like those agreed to by Ukraine? Ukraine is backed into a corner because they did what the US told them to do and what Z thought would make him the next Churchill. But Ukraine has kept it going along with the US and everyone has responsibility for all of the dead and wounded.

It's pretty fascinating stuff. The same people that marched in million man marches against Nixon and Vietnam, and then against Bush and Iraq, are now calling for some kind of "Shock and Awe" against Russia.

To them, Biden is a war time president, that consistently refuses to properly arm a flailing ally. They are already at war, and the Commander in Chief is seemingly eschewing an approach that would guarantee the fastest conclusion to the conflict.

The rational part of the world, sees this not as the final act before an impending conclusion, but as the beginning stages of a conflagration that will consume the planet.

It was actually the Ukrainian ultra-nationalists that ruled the streets, that prevented Zelensky from implementing Minsk 2

You lose all credibility when you bring in Vietnam and Iraq. No one is calling for shock and awe against Russia. The majority of Americans want the US to stop funding Ukraine. The majority of the US is against Biden and his policies.

The US warned Ukraine the Russians would invade and Z ignored the warnings. Ukraine really didnt defend its borders at all until Russia was already rolling toward Kiev.

They sat and denied anything would happen. As soon as Vlad was lining up his army at the border, Ukraine should have prepared defenses like they are trying to battle through now to regain territory. The US has been in Ukraine training them since 2014. Again, it is not the US job or obligation to do anything for Ukraine. It is the US job to protect itself, and its citizens. The assistance given to Ukraine thus far is more than enough for a "friend".

I think they have done an excellent job defensively - they stopped the Udmurtians special ops attempts to take the airport and Kiev, quickly formed defensive positions and shot down enough planes for the few sober Udmurtian generals to get worried about wasting more. Also have basically kept the Black Sea fleet in port and only lost one big town to the drunk rapist invaders.

I salute them !

russia has moved most ships from occupied Crimea to russia proper (where they've also been attacked).

Ukrainians are goot at coming up with new tactics, russians learn to counter them only after initial heavy losses (and then the Ukrainians come up with something new)

russia is relying on its only tactic (throw bodies at the enemy) which it can because no russian gets upset at russian soldiers being killed... even the soldiers own families don't care (as long as they get a big bag of pelmeni or a towel set in return).

Alternatively, 2 bottles of vodka.
