It's called Pax America
I would like to see the rules based international order strengthened to the point where the US feels secure and comfortable relying on and submitting to it, but that isn't going to happen under the UN while both Russia and China have vetos as members of the security council and have the intention to undermine it.
And it should be noted that the only truly significant teeth of the UN that we have ever had has been the US military. If the world wants the US to have less influence and control, the world would need to step up their willingness to be the UN's police. I don't want the US to be the world's police, but that won't change until enough other countries step up.
I would love to see Europe step up as full partners in this. Maybe the Ukraine war will be somewhat of a catalyst for this, although even for the Ukraine war Europe still seems to prefer NATO as the framework for a response rather than the EU.
Although there absolutely are several countries that have been very willing in this area, they are just unfortunately not large enough to counter-balance the US or provide significant enough deterrence or enforcement. We would need quite a few more countries to step up in this way to have enough of a collective impact. And if China ever changes their ways, unlikely as that is, I would also love to see them as a partner as well.
