Meanwhile, the US is 10 days away from a government shutdown. Funding packages for Ukraine being scaled back to only include military harware, and leave out money to keep funding the Ukraine government and humanitarian aid. No cash coming in means no more lining of pockets for a lot of people. No more cash means Europe has to step up and do more heavy lifting. This to me looks like a balanced approach and reasonable. Ukraine keeps getting the weapons, but someone else needs to start funding the government. Now with Ukraine reporting they are crossing the Dnipro, they could have an opportinity to make a real advance, and the US cant be blamed for cutting them off from weapons when this is happening.

One fly in the ointment here though. Stupid Biden doesnt like the package, and doesnt like southern border security packages that will also come with any deal to keep the US government from shutting down.

Ukraine has no choice now but to militarize until russian violent psychopaths give up their stupid dream of 'russkij mir'...
