Preventing the attacker from accomplishing their goals is sufficient for the defender to win. Even if the defender has some other goals they would also like to accomplish.

Wonderful news, and I was pretty amazed about those cheap cardboard drones that Australia have given them. Too small and the wrong material to be picked up on radar and a couple of nights ago they destroyed four fighter jets, two artillery pieces and a missile defence system.

Have you ever wondered why every single Slavic nation (all of them your former allies), with the exception of Belarus, prefers to be allied to the West rather than to Russia? I'm not talking only about Poles, Czechs or Croats but even Bulgaria and Montenegro are NATO members these days.

So, it's one of the two, Bobi: either we all all venal kurwas and traitors or maybe (just maybe) there is something about Russian civilisational model that puts off even the countries closest to you geographically, genetically and culturally. Either all Slavic people - from Slovaks to Montenegrins and from Slovenians to Poles - are treacherous scoundrels or it is something about Mother Russia that is wrong. When it comes to Polish-Russian relations in general, and foreign policies conducted by consecutive Russian and Polish governments alike, then - of course - a lot of things should have been done in a different way, more calmly and wisely; but at the end of the day it is for every independent nation to decide the way they want to go.

A question, if you may. Why does Russia even organize elections? At this point it is just a perverse ritual of pretending that Russia is a western-style democracy. Nobody gets fooled anymore. Nobody expects than anyone except Putin would win by a large margin. All his real opponents are either murdered or imprisoned. Why continue doing this? Nobody believes Russia is a democracy. Russians themselves don't want to become western.

That's what russia is.... one large perverse ritual of trying to convince itself of its own greatness....

Vlad Vexler claims that the putain regime (before the war) was all about appearances and pretend... it pretended to be a democracy and an authoritarian dictatorship at different times (the repression for everyday people was scattered and unpredictable).

Poland need nukes, satelites and it own space capabilites, military complex, top notch research fasilities, professional soldiers, sound command structure, .....and on the very botum - tanks.
