I still oppose to the use of "Orcs" in relation to Russians. It insults Poles too, because we are of the same Slavic ethnic background, so it makes us orcs too. Besides, it is putting cool Russians (Bobko), tolerable Russians (Velund) and obnoxious Russians (Kostya) into the same dehumanising category.

Ethnicity is irrelevant. Behaviour is everything, and of course if you think that ethnicity is important, you'd do well to remember two things. One is that the entirely fitting term term Orcs comes from Ukraine, a country far closer to Poland than r*SSia is, and the other is that many of the Orcs aren't from parts of the r*SSian 'federation' that are inhabited by Slavonic speaking people.

I am here, reading and laughing at all the same old arguments. Meanwhile, thousands are getting killed on each side, and no one is sitting at a table talking. The solution is simple really. NATO says no to Ukraine, and I believe the US will say no. Ukraine agree's to remain neutral. Russia agree's to a real UN watched referendum of all registered residents of the occupied areas including Crimea before the Crimea invasion. Then let the chips fall. That said, Russia still pays to rebuild Ukraine no matter what the outcome, everyone stops getting killed on both sides. But hey, I know, thats too reasonable for either side, so fvck it.

I always take "newest" research with a pinch of salt. Besides, ethnicity is not only about DNA and genes, it's also culture, language, primal mythology etc.
