I'm no fan of Stalin, monster that he was. But he's definitely one of the most interesting people to ever walk this Earth.

More like "graveyard peace"...people tried to flee when they saw a chance! Even if that meant surrendering to the german enemy!

I have heard and read about that in the beginning of the invasion the german troops encountered many desperate soviet soldiers who really thought they would now be able to get "out", even if that meant a german POW camp.

Everybody and their grandmom agrees how foolish and stupid it was from Hitler and his henchmen to throw away what could have become a big game changer and treating these men horrible and kill them. Alone that knowledge did alot for the rising resistance of the Soviets against the invaders.

But then....with another smarter reaction Hitler wouldn't had been Hitler....

Also kind of nuts that Kim Jong Un came through for us, BEFORE Alexander Lukashenko did.

What's the point of being angry at Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and others for not sending us military contingents - when our boy Potato Fuhrer doesn't even want to do it?

Koreans turned out to be the most trustworthy of them all.

Just yesterday I had an oppo to defend Russia being helped by NK by saying this:

You, Americans, bribed or threatened tens of countries to send their men to decorate your aggression in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Russia is entitled to do the same.

They're actually old friends - something nobody seems to bring up for some reason. Mostly people talk about Cubans as the USSR's assault troops, but the North Koreans did a lot too.

1) During the Vietnam War they flew Northern fighter jets, and supplied specialists for SAM systems.

2) During the Yom Kippur war they sent advisors and weapons to Egypt and Syria.

3) During the Angolan Civil War they backed the Soviet supported MPLA with training, advisors and weapons.

4) In the Iran-Iraq war they helped Iran, while we couldn't do it overtly.

5) During the Ethiopiam Civil War they send aid and soldiers to the Moscow-aligned Derg regime.

So these fellas are pretty adventurous. On par with the Cubans, for sure.

I am glad Russia has real friends, not just friends for hire or fakes.

At the same meeting, being as always a minority of one, I offered this gem regarding BRICS:

I wish Russia and the rest of them the very best as a counter-weight to Western imperialism. Just as the US has a two-party system, the world needs two blocks for the same reason. BRICS is the other block.

The silence in the room is still ringing in my ears. One of the benefits of being retired is being able to say things like this and not give a fvck what others feel. Trully liberating...

Ok, we already had Eastern Europe - the world's greatest repository of beautiful women.. But then we got Cuban and Nicaraguan girls too? I'm looking at photos now, and every Cuban female soldier seems like a solid 7 or 8.

The Venezuelans? Those same people that win all Miss Universe competitions? Sheesh.

I immediately noticed the same thing but kept quiet not to be called an old lecher.
