Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 18

"senseless"? You sure?

Yeah, I'm sure.

The machine gun, the telegraph, central banks, and the Haber-Bosch Process had a much more important effect on the arc of world history, and where we sit today than any election.

I have a Marxist historic background, where we rely on an adaptation of Hegelian dialectics to understand the path from the caveman to the modern man.

People come and go, and they perform the function granted to them by the context.

....oh, me too....I learned all about that in my socialist school!

Makes me question, who would had teached me that without politics...or you? There would be no Marxism without Marx and his followers!

We lived without machine gun, telegraphs or banks....and maybe will do so again....but without a hierarchy? Without leaders, ideas, laws to follow? Without politics at all? At least doubtful...

Bobko

without a hierarchy?

A hierarchy is natural to humanity.

If you are curious about this, I have a funny book to recommend. It's called "In Defense of Elitism", written by the suitably named William Henry III.

Source: penguinrandomhouse.com/books/78738/in-defense-of-elitism-by-william-a-henry-iii/

This book will show you precisely why everybody having "opinions" (like Johnny Reb), and having a legal right to affect policymaking is not a very good idea.

I am not against leadership.

I'm against the idea of pretending that we all have equally valuable insights in to the workings of our societies.

Russians are not so much authoritarian, as elitist.

Oh I know that.....they don't bow to just anybody who comes along! :)

I would only see one problem....this wide open field of opinions makes it possible that better ones (ideas, leaders etc.) come forward, which would be lost, ignored otherwise, in the end strenghtening such an open society.

this wide open field of opinions makes it possible that better ones (ideas, leaders etc.) come forward

Stop it, you are a hopeless romantic...

All the opinions that are worthy of consideration, will find their currency - within any system.

Some joker will whisper it into the aging king's ear, and it will be heard.

The drawbacks of involving millions of retards in the decision making process, far outweigh any dividends gained from including them and being forced to accommodate them.

I'm not a monarchist, I'm just against most forms of representative democracy.

With monarchies, you have a different set of problems.

I'm more in favor of something that existed in the Most Serene Republic of Venice, or in the Netherlands during the ascendancy of the Orangists.

I'm for aristocracy - in the old sense of the word - rule by the best.

Not a plutocracy or oligarchy, but aristocracy.

Because having lots of money does not equate having much wisdom.

Okay....and I can see your points!

Thing is, that too is politics. There is just no vision of a mankind, not even a small tribe, doing without it in some form or another, which was my point.

See you later....have to run now *waves*

Bobko

Thing is, that too is politics.

That's not the politics of the type:

A) "Putin is criminally incompetent, and is trying to burn my country down to its foundations!"

B) "I feel so guilty in front of the Ukrainians, that I will go and send money to a country that is daily killing hundreds of my compatriots"

This is the type of politics that leads nowhere.

Not in Germany in 1917.

Not in America in 1944.

Not in Israel of 2024.

It's a nice little footnote for future readers curious about the evolution of popular sentiment, but it does no good for you, your family, your company, your state, or anyone else.

It's not only about elections though - it's also about the rule of law (individuals being treated fairly) and some kind of economic freedom (individuals able to broadly choose who they work for), and about the freedom to develop your own thoughts and beliefs

North Nigeria has none of these, never really has. Yet they try and convince us that somehow they have found the golden secret to a happy society.

IRL the results are well lnown - rock hard bread, gut rot vodka, thieving from an unaccountable criminal ruling class and being locked up for calling a war by it's true name

While living and profiting from one.....

You think that's what russia is????? HA HA H AH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

russians are literally the worst and run their own country like a toilet... what makes you think they'll do any better anywhere else?

I'm against the idea of pretending that we all have equally valuable insights in to the workings of our societies.

Strangely, the big issues can be decided easily by low-IQ lesser people like me. Designing F-35...not so much...

Migrants, immigration, abortions, the death penalty, going to a war 10,000 miles away, men in women's private places, using a knive to fix a mental illness - I don't have to be a Ph.D to be able to vote in a legally-binding referendum.

The ruling mob in the US doesn't offer referenda not because we are too stupid. They don't because we are too smart. If they could end elections the way Zhole did, they would.

An ounce of common sense and anyone is as good as Leonardo when the subjects I listed are on the table.

Ukrainians fleeing Poland en masse - media
Tighter conditions for accessing social programs a less favorable economic climate are reportedly pushing migrants to Germany

Ukrainians are increasingly leaving Poland for Germany, motivated by higher wages and better access to social benefits, the Ukrainian information portal InPoland has reported. Warsaw has stated that it will not accept any more immigrants amid growing discontent with Ukrainians among Polish taxpayers.

Wait just a fvckng minute...Recently, I asked if Poland is ready to accept 10 million migrants and was told, yes...even more...

Now Poland has had it? How un-Christian...I am ashamed ...

found the golden secret to a happy society.

Indeed they have. Once Russia rules them they never complain. Is it that proof enough?

Who could that be???

Wild speculation about Trump confidant on board:

What? US plane landed in Moscow

Excitement about an American plane in Russian airspace!

▶︎ Data from the aviation platform "Flightradar24" showed a Gulfstream G650ER approaching Moscow Vnukovo International Airport on Tuesday morning. The plane landed at 8:18 a.m. German time.

The plane took off from Washington Dulles International Airport. Since US civilian aircraft are currently not allowed to fly over Russian airspace due to a ban, everything points to a special permit.

That's why there is speculation about a political mission and possibly high-ranking passengers!

On X (Twitter) there is speculation that it could be the plane of a confidant of US President Donald Trump: Steve Witkoff, the US government's special envoy for the Middle East.

A "Special Permit", huh? 🤓

Ukrainians fleeing Poland en masse - media

I am ashamed...Us don't like Ps anymore? How come?

I got it...German is easier to learn...and doing nothing pays better in Germany.

BTW, didn't I say that Us are not going back to U?

So not only did Zhole cause 500,000 U deaths, but lost 20% of U, and watched his country being ethnically cleansed all by itself.

Memo to Zhole: Do you remember my brilliant Z-P=0? You should have listened to me instead of that useless British wh*ore, BJ...

Hey, BJ, do you finally get a hair brush, you POS...

I don't like Germany as in the German state, politicians their system, and their state culture if you know what? I mean.
I like some Germans and generally have no issue with Germans. I guess it is due to the fact I have or rather had family there but that is not true any longer, they were family before WWI and the generation that kept in touch was my grandparent's generation regardless of the WWII experiences, some of my parent, whilst me I remember this or that when I was a teen. (not much)

Germany desperately needs purification. Brits are a lost cause. French are soft cvnts. Swedes are beyond repair. Poles don't take shlt from the EU azholes.

What is wrong with the weather? It is what it is. People always complain about the weather no matter where they live. Just take it in a stride it is a part of your life experience. Indifference to the weather conditions was one of the Roman's virtues.

What is wrong with the weather?

....yeah....it's more a figure of speech, I guess. There should even some nice Germans exist, so I've heard! :)

It's just well known that many people chose their new homes to immigrate into for the environment....the more free standing around palms and blue sky and white, sandy beaches the better....it's a fact also!

(I must admit personally such a regular warm weather the whole year would kill me, I love nature's seasons!)

In the US there are places where mostly white people live. I guess that's what the US should look like.
The weather is not so bad. Although during the winter time, there are some crazy conditions the White Mountains is a good compensation for those temporary setbacks.
