Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 19

Did I really act so??? Impossible!!! It wasn`t me! Vance provoked me!

Paw, your comment sounds like it was written by an imbecile. How many times you were asked to limit your opinions to the facts you are familiar with
mainly cultivating turnips and glorifying their culinary benefits? You are much better when confined to Pawianowo.

the conditions necessary for a mineral deal are ones he can't meet.

Really ?
If the facts may be known, jon, there is currently a lot of confusion over Teflon Trump's proposed $500bn deal to gain control over Ukraine's rare earth metals wealth.
The problem is that Ukraine doesn't have any rare earth minerals, it has a lot of "strategically important metals" like lithium.
That is true.
But actual rare earth metals?
No.
Almost none.

Good. His country is being invaded and the 'demands' are in behalf of the people who elected him.

It's a lot easier to tell an ungrateful prick to FO with his demands rather than someone who says thank you and makes polite requests.

Lindsay Graham - the most pro Ukrainian politician ever- said he told Zelensky how to deal with Vance and Trump during the press conference, and Zelensky did the opposite Following Starmers and Macrons example wasn't that difficult, instead of publicly contradicting. Biting the hand that feeds is so dumb. He got used to being to lecture and berate European leaders that he forgot he was dealing with the big dogs, and got ripped apart.

More ominously for him, Graham said perhaps America needs a new leader in Ukraine to deal with. When one of the most prominent war hawks start saying that the clocks ticking.

Admitting Ukraine into the EU would be an "unthinkable" act, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has stated, adding that accession to the bloc by Kiev could have severe economic and security consequences for Hungary.

Beyond economic concerns, Orban claimed that Ukraine's accession would lead to an influx of crime into Hungary. "I also don't see clearly how we will curb the crime that would inevitably flood into Hungary along with it," he said. "I cannot think of a single argument that would justify Ukraine's accession from Hungary's perspective."

Dear Prime Minister Orban, you are too logical.

Do what the Brits, Germans, and French did. Open your arms and borders and see what happens. That's what they did and look at the results.

Z finally got the opportunity to get Trump on his side, and he went in with more demands and more of his tough talk. He got exactly what he deserved, nothing. Now, he has a very limited amount of time before Trump will cut off support completely. Starmer and Macron did not help Z because they didnt give him the warning of stfu if you cant say something nice.

All the talk about Europe supporting Ukraine is really nice, but it is also useless. Europe has no weapons to send, and will not send men to fight. Ukraine will run out of men and the front lines will collapse without a peace deal in the next year. Europes plan according to Marco Rubio is to let the war go on for another year to continue to weaken Russia said an un-named EU prime minister. Thats not a plan, that is what sadists do to their enemies.

What played out on live TV was the dubest position ever taken by a foreign leader visiting the Oval Office. A disrespectful man thought he was an equal to the president of the United States and thought he could say what ever he wanted, and was then asked to leave. I am guessing within a week if Z doesnt make amends that we will see Trump make an executive order to stop weapons transfers, and then to start briniging US soldiers home who have been managing all the weapons transfers and logisticts. The EU has no one to replace the US in these matters, and cannot support Ukraine on their own.

Diplomacy? What diplomacy will pay back the American people for three years of this? That is the only diplomacy Trump cares about, and the only thing Z should be adressing if he wants to keep the US on its side. What Z has repeatedly done is the exact oposite, even with sleepy Joe he was not diplomatic. Ukraine needs a new leader soon because this one could get everyone killed.

Bobko

he let himself get provoked.

Yeah I watched the other 40 minutes of the press conference, and came away surprised.

Trump and Vance never provoked Zelensky.

Trump was even saying that weapons supplies will continue. All the comments made by Vance, Trump, and Zelensky had been TOWARDS the journalists. Nobody ever spoke with each other directly.

Most importantly, Vance wasn't even talking to Zelensky.

Zelensky himself decided to interrupt Vance and start undermining his words, with his usual "there's no point in talking with Putin".

It's hard not to form the impression that Zelensky completely sabotaged himself. I take back my words from this morning that it was a cruel humiliation from Trump.

I think Trump and Vance were genuinely angry and irritated, and it wasn't done just for show. It's really hard to understand Zelensky's behavior, other than that he had not slept or was on some kinda drugs.

All the things Zelensky was saying are things you say behind closer doors, not to journalists to make Trump and Vance look stupid.

Another Ukrainian turbo diplomacy fail. Now Americans are probably beginning to understand why we invaded.

@Bobko
Anyone watching that press conference with an open mind can see Z fvcked up. You dont go the the country that you cannot survive without, and talk that way to its President, Vice President and Secretary of State in front of the press. His attitude and tone in the Oval Office were disrespectful, and not appreciative. These same traits I and others have pointed out many times the last three years. I dont know that Americans would understand why Russia invaded now, but I guarantee they have a lot less sympathy for Ukraine and Z after that episode, and most Americans didnt care much to begin with.

Calling Macron immediately after being kicked out of the White House and having your State lunch cancelled is a real sign that Z understands now how badly he fvcked up. He not only fvcked up for Ukraine, but he fvcked up Europe. If the US military is pulled out of Rzeszow, Ukraine is completely fvcked, and Poland is in deep trouble. This is the last thing Tusk wants, so he needs to be careful now with how he speaks about the US and Ukraine.

Once again though, Europe continues to ignore that peace in Ukraine is not the responsibility of the US, and Europe is incapable of protecting Ukraine without the US. So the diplomacy of European leaders coming out and saying they will continue to support Ukraine is really little more than public campaigning in the press and image maintenance. Tusk and the others need to fall in line or risk losing the US in NATO. I believe that is what the stakes are. People like Trump do not have a whole lot of patience when it comes to lifetime politicians, and his pen on paper can be an immediate threat to the peace and security of Europe if Russia was really prepared to attack other nations. A position I simply do not believe and is not supported by current facts.

Good morning. .. and all that.

Zelensky's giving Trump rare earth metals,

What Zel giving to Trump is exhausted and empty di*k, and Trump knows it.

Trump is giving Putin 20% of Ukraine, USA and Russia are best pals

Giving? Giving?

Graftere, brate. Listen, Trump is happy that Putin don`t ask for Alaska. That much is Russia`s rocket technology in front of the USA and rest of the world. Trump knows it and appreciate Russia`s balanced stance. So Trump literally enters in Multi-Polar reality. Forcing on Russia anything in the region that is 10.000 km away from the USA, on Russia`s borders is only the joke. Actually, Trump don`t give a s*it for the complete Eastern Europe, great deal of Western and Northern Europe and for the most part of anything between Israel and Russia.

Not even to speak of the moves of old families, in the shadows.

Paw, your comment sounds like it was written by an imbecile.

Not at all. Pawian was making fun of an earlier situation in which Trump first called Zelensky a dictator and then acted all surprised and asked "Did I really say that?".

Nobody ever spoke with each other directly.

We must have been watching different videos.

the country that

... pretty much manipulated Ukraine into this war.

Zelensky could have conducted friendly policies towards Putin and turn Ukraine into second Belarus. If he had done that, he would now own property all over Europe, had c*ntillions of dollars in his bank accout and sh*t into a pure gold toilet, oligarch-style. However, he wanted to improve the lot of his entire country, not only his own. Unfortunately, in the process, he made a schoolboy mistake of believing that America stands for something more than money and brutal self-interest.

If there is any common decency left in European hearts, and I believe there is, we will make the necessary sacrifices, beef up both our nuclear and conventional forces and support Ukraine in their struggle for better life for their children and grandchildren. The second thing that we need to do is to deeply reevaluate the necessity and form of our current international alliances.

Why the hell has Rzeszow and its 3000 soldiers become the domino on which Europe falls ? Typical of your nonsense.

I don't know if Trump was told by his yes men advisors that Zelensky would sign his dumb deal on live Tv, but obviously nobody did the groundwork with the Ukrainians.

You want Europe to look after itself but when they start to organize that, you say it is just for show and they should fall in line with America. Zelensky gave a great performance yesterday and it is approved all over the world. Countries like South Korea, Turkey, Japan and even Australia must be wondering what the value of the US security umbrella is.

And he has raised the bar for foreign leaders visiting the White House. Macron and Starmer were praised for giving Trump a gentle tap on the arm, but Zelensky told Trump and the other childish unprepared idiot, exactly what he thought.

You know what is Croatia to Serbs? Its separated rogue part abused by the Rome. People of Croatia are Serbs under foreign yoke.

So think twice before work with Croatia. It would be same as if Serbia start to work with Warsaw and ignore what rest of Poland want. But, at that point Kashubia, Silesia and many other regions of Poland would be other countries. Understand now? Croats are just deluded Serbs. Ethnic Serbs. Kashubs aren`t Poles and they are part of Poland. Or Silesians. They aren`t Poles.

Not to say that in its meta ethnicity all in Poland look to Serbia. Especially if Serbia continue to strengthen.

Three-Seas initiative was a direct provocation of Serbia. Direct proof to Serbians that Poland itself needs to be liberated.

Never forget where the throne of Sarmatia is. Not in Moscow. Not in Warsaw. Its in Belgrade. From time immemorial. There is the vault of the Draconian bloodlines.

What nonsense. Sarmatia is an internal Polish heritage. Nothing to do with Serbia or Russia. You say Sarmatia, you automatically think Poland. You say Poland, you automatically think Sarmatia.

I agree that past US administrations completely got things wrong with Ukraine. I agree the US and UK are the two most influential on getting Ukraine into this war. But, that is not the responsibility of this administration or the American people. Supporting Ukraine in my opinion is wanting them to exist a year from now and ending the killing. Not supporting Ukraine is to continue to insist on fighting and dying in Ukraine. Because if the US pulls the plug, there is no one and no group of countries that can replace it. And that is the fault of Europe for not preparing for this for the last 30 years.

@cms neuf
Z was made to look like a fool. All the talk and pledges of support from EU leaders are politics and nothing more. Anyone underestimating the importance of the US military in Rzeszow is simply stupid. If the US goes home, there are no weapons, and no logistics to support Ukraine. The EU does not have the ability or manpower. Keep talking like the rest of the politicians and Europe will likely suffer because of it, Poland could suffer because of it. Not aknowledging the balance of power is fvcking idiotic.

Oh, so there is no legal continuity between the USA under Biden's administration and under the current one?

Someone should tell the Germans after the war that they weren't responsible for the previous administration of the German people. Also, tell Russians that they shouldn't have apologised for KatyΕ„ because it was under Stalin's administration. Turkey is definitely not responsible for Armenian genocide - different government back then.

WOW, I knew that the old principles of rule based world order were being destroyed recently but I didn't realise the extent of the destruction. 0_0

I think most of Poles will be looking at that as insignificant. We have been shown through this conflict that we cannot count on USA. Europe should forget USA. Simple as.

The pledges of support are perfectly real - this has been well documented, European supplies of weaponry and money have been higher than those from the US.

How does Europe lack the capability to support Ukraine. It is more people and a big economy than the US and certainly far more than North Nigeria. We also have more sanctions power.

Finally there can be no more politically expedient support for other US causes like the Middle East or Taiwan without American quid pro quo on Ukraine

Rzeszow is nice but honestly the American lorries and training there can be replaced gradually by European ones.

And while people are starting to use strong arms it is time to turn that on Hungary - suspend all EU funds there until it supports Ukraine.

No. There is no continuity requirement for any administration to honor anything any prior administration committed to. Comparing Germany after the war to the US now is comparing nuclear bombs to fire crackers. Talk and political speech in particular is just a lot of hot air in most cases. Z fvcked up yesterday in a way that was public and has never happened before. Lindsay Graham has now said if Z doesnt apologize he needs to be replaced, and he is one of Z's biggest supporters. The American people do not support this war, and that is the voice Trump is using. Its uncomfortable and inconvenient, but thats life.

@Lenka @cms neuf
Your opinions on the US in Rzeszow would not be supported by any Polish government official. And replacing them over time with EU military would take time, which is exactly what Ukraine doesnt have. No US made weapons allowed to go to Ukraine, or those with US parts, and Ukraine is fvcked.

Feelings and hopes are not going to repair the damage of Z yesterday. My guess is he has a week or less to repair things before he is cut off.
