Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 20

ust as Russia has said

To be honest, from the European point of view - who cares? Wasn't that the US president that is overtly sensitive about what Putin might think?
That a total disregard for what Europe might think will going to bite you all in the ass.

@Ironside
Does Europe think continuing the war is a good idea? Does Europe think they can take on Russia by themselves? Any French/UK force in Ukraine doesnt bit the US in the ass at all. I think its just laughable to say a few thousand men would be a deterant to Putin if he wanted to start fighting after a peace plan is done. All of the showboating by Macron and Starmer is just that. Russia could mobilize millions of men in short order, granted most would be meat grinder material, but that doesnt bother Russians. France and the UK could put together how many? Poland is in the strongest defensive position in Europe behind Turkey. My only two concerns are for Poland and the US. At least Poland has woken up and done things for itself. Germany and France are still looking for helmets and croisants.

Brother Sergey is wise, but his relationship with the truth is a troubled and complicated one. Especially when he speaks about Poland.

Does Europe

Yes, Europe has no cards when it comes to the military. So they have no say. However would be wise to not agonize them, they can always rearm themselves and then show no kindness to the US.

But PolAm Europe, including France, and Britain have already said that they back the cease-fire suggested by the Americans and Ukrainians.

They are waiting for North Nigeria's answer. So far it didn't come.

So why the north Nigerians don't want the ceasefire that you have been talking about for months and months?

Ironside

Probably trying to push Trump as much as they can to extract more concessions from him.

Because the original russian goal was to be greeted as returning heroes by Ukrainians who would gladly return to rule from moscow and to kill/exile the rest.

They've realized the first isn't going to happen so they're just trying to destroy the country now hoping to vacate and then move in and repopulate it with central asians who would pledge fealtiy to their diminutive god king.

They're about to switch narratives/justifications.... they're going to manufacture a lot of fakes about Ukrainian war crimes in Kursk. The very gullible and weak will believe them.

They're playing for time in their long game.

They're playing for time in their long game.

One reason we have to up the sanctions, prevent oil/gas heading west (and permanently destroy the pipelines) and make it hard for countries who trade with them. Sooner or later they will run out of components to make arms and orcs to make mince out of.

Brother Sergey is wise

He's like a barking dog, chained up outside the house of a mafia don.

they're going to manufacture a lot of fakes about Ukrainian war crimes in Kursk

Hopefully European countries' intelligence services will have pre-empted that and will counter it before they start.

...and there's even more:

theguardian.com/world/2025/mar/17/trump-says-he-and-putin-will-discuss-land-and-powerplants-in-ukraine-ceasefire-talks

"I'll be speaking to President Putin on Tuesday (...) we will be talking about land. We will be talking about power plants (...) We are already talking about that, dividing up certain assets."

The 'we' obviously refers to him and Putin, and apparrently they are already dividing up Ukraine between them. :-/

One reason for Europe to do this properly and not let trump and his crowd of nepobabies, felons, 'libertarians' cryptoscammers and fascists to drive the narrative.

And to send them a bill for all the assistance by foreign militaries after 9/11.

Torq

And to send them a bill for all the assistance by foreign militaries after 9/11.

... and multiply the bill by three, like they did with theirs for their aid for Ukraine.

jon357
17 Mar 2025  #735

Indeed, at least by three if you contra the amount that went straight back to their arms industry to creatinine and tax revenues for them.

And the bill for the military actions in Iraq and Afghanistan would be immense.

@Ironside
I dont think the US would ever be worried about Europe. But I do think the EU is long overdue to re-arm itself. As I said, my only concerns are Poland and the US. Of note, Verderkunt in Brussles is no longer pushing for a 50% tariff on American whiskey after Trump said Europe would get a 200% tariff on all alcohol. Europe can be strong, but it does not have an economy to threaten the US.

@Torq
That sending a bill idea is a solid one. In turn the US should send invoices to Europe for protection the last 80 years, and for all the military bases. Brilliant. I love when math is such common sense.

rumor has it, it might be even worse... supposedly he might be ready to offer part of Europe to russia as its 'sphere of influence' in order to try to pry it from china (considered the bigger threat which clearly wants to bring a number of Asian and Pacific countries under its control.
It's not clear if NATO states are to be included in that.

Bobko

We will be talking about power plants

Which makes me very upset. They are talking about the ZNPP (largest nuclear plant in Europe).

supposedly he might be ready to offer part of Europe to russia as its 'sphere of influence'

Shock! Horror!

Trump proposes to return things to the way they had been for the previous 400 years.

America is allowed a sphere of influence - that extends beyond its own continent, and encompasses South America too.

China is not allowed to have a vote over how the Philippines are run - a country they share the South China Sea with. Why? Because America stole the Philippines from Spain in 1898, and now considers itself a player there.

Russia cannot influence the Baltics or some sh*thole like Bulgaria. Why? I don't know why.

invoices to Europe for protection the last 80 years

Erm... remind me - what war did the USA fight in defense of Europe in these 80 years?

supposedly he might be ready to offer part of Europe to russia as its 'sphere of influence'

Trump offering a part of Europe to Russia makes as much sense as France offering a part of Brazil to Argentina. He can take his troops and f*ck off from Europe but he can't offer sh*t.

Russia cannot influence the Baltics or some sh*thole like Bulgaria.

Of course she can. Unless the Baltics and the Bulgarians don't want to be in such sphere of influence. If they don't, then Russia has to take them by force. In such case their allies (European NATO) will aid them and there will be a war. If Russia can win such war, she will have her sphere of influence. Brutal and simple. As for the orange-skinned caveman, he has nothing to say about this. As I said, all he can do is f*ck off from Europe but he cannot give what he doesn't have. A typical case of Zagłoba offering Swedes the Netherlands.

How about the cold war? How about all the military bases in Europe for its protection? Maybe share in the cost of maintaining the US nukes that protect Europe? And how about all the NATO expenses the US paid while Europe sat with its thumb up its ass?

jon357

Shock! Horror!

Isn't it up to independent countries to decide what "sphere of influence" they want to be in, if any...

As for the orange-skinned caveman, he has nothing to say about this

He's a puppet of oligarchs like musk and Thiel. And it's very hard to know what their endgame is. So far, they've alienated their allies, tried their hardest to aid r*SSia and tanked their own economy.

Torq
17 Mar 2025  #744

How about the cold war?

Erm... that was your war against the Soviet Union. You achieved global political and economic domination, and Europeans helped you with it. If anyone should pay any bills for that, it's the USA (you didn't fight any defensive wars for Europe but Europeans and other NATO allies helped you with your wars of aggression).

the cost of maintaining the US nukes that protect Europe?

How many of them were fired in protection of Europe? So maybe they are not protecting Europe but help keeping Europe within the American sphere of influence?

how about all the NATO expenses the US paid

Did you buy tanks for Poland, or for any other NATO country? Did you give them fighter planes or artillery? Or did they buy those weapons from you? So what else do you want money for?

In general PolAm, I think it's time to end the US domination over the world. It's time to give up dollar as world's reserve currency and end the obscene wealth of Americans. If an average Chinese consumed as much as an average American, we would need three additional Earths. But you simply cannot appreciate the fact. So maybe, just maybe, it's time for Americans to work as hard for as little as the people of Mexico, Vietnam, Pakistan or Russia do? Perhaps the time when you stretched the anuses of almost the entire world is just coming to its end?

jon357
17 Mar 2025  #745

I think it's time to end the US domination over the world

It started to end a few years ago. One reason they're so hostile about China who could crash their economy in a day.

the obscene wealth of Americans

So many of them are very poor.

it's time for Americans to work as hard for as little as the people of Mexico, Vietnam, Pakistan or Russia

That's a reason that the Thiel/musk/vance/trumpet axis are so afraid of Canada. With climate change especially, they are in a bad situation and Canada is in a better one.

Torq
17 Mar 2025  #746

So many of them are very poor.

I know. But also many of them are making obscene amounts of money totally unrelated to either their intelligence, effort they put in or the usefulness of their work. They owe it to various instruments of economic violence created and enforced worldwide to upkeep their domination. As long as they appreciated the fact, and provided something in return, this could be grudgingly tolerated. These days, however, they forget their manners - they forget to say 'thank you' to those who make the American-dominated world possible.

Bobko

And that's the entire problem....

Spare me your tears over Bulgaria.

They gave us the Cyrillic alphabet and the Orthodox faith - if I take my joker hat off, I know what I owe the Bulgarians.

I was trying to make a point, that Trump granting Russia a vote over the fates of Balkan or Bulgarian peoples - is like a lord granting his peasants the right to hunt game in the forest.

They do it already, they never thought to ask, they are bemused by the edict, and despite all of this everyone plays the kabuki/kayfabe game.

Bulgaria and the Baltics are not Trump's to grant.

And what did the Poles give you?

Bobko
17 Mar 2025  #749

what did the Poles give you?

1) Tsiolkovsky - father of Russian space exploration

2) Przevalsky - geographer and soldier that mapped all of Central Asia

3) Rokossovsky - Russian officer and architect of many key battles during WW2

4) Dzerzhinksy - father of modern Russian security services

5) Krzhizhanovsky - architect of the GOELRO plan which electrified Russia, and chairman of the Gosplan which planned the entire Soviet economy.
