That has become increasingly clear.

The trouble with the Russians is that they are willing to endure a lot more casualties even (or especialy) in unjust wars. So their army can perform badly, yet cause a lot of damage through attrition alone.

Look at the USA. 50k dead in Vietnam and there were protests until the war was no longer feasible to sustain for the US government. Meanwhile the Russians have probably broken the 300k casualty barrier, yet resistance against the war remains low in Russia (even considering it is a dictatorship, most Russians seem to consider that this war should be fought until the bitter end).
