And one more funny post from Tatyana Montyan channel...
Strange uterine rabies among "European partners".The German and French authorities have issued a rather tough ultimatum to Russia: a ceasefire must be declared by the end of May 12.
Stefan Cornelius, a representative of the German government, was the first to voice the ultimatum:
"We still have 10 hours left until the end of the day, and if there is no ceasefire by then, the European side will start preparing for sanctions"
Soon, French President Macron made the same point, but in an even harsher form: he said that the ceasefire proposal is valid only until the end of May 12:
"Either Russia is serious and wants peace, or it is not serious and we have to impose more sanctions"
Why exactly the proposal should be accepted necessarily by the end of May 12 and not later is unclear. It seems that the EU countries are in some kind of terrible time pressure, and a very interesting question arises: what is it that has to happen by the end of May 12 that makes them in such a hurry?
However, we will soon find out: Putin's press secretary Peskov essentially rejected the European proposals that cannot be refused and said that "the language of ultimatums is unacceptable for Russia"
"Prior to this warning, we had already heard the warning the day before yesterday, if you remember. They were also voiced in a rather ultimatum form. But this language of ultimatums is unacceptable for Russia, it is not suitable. You can't talk to Russia in that language".
By the way, Trump, commenting on this whole mess, carefully bypasses the issue of ceasefire (the proposal of Ukraine and the EU), but pushes for peace talks between Russia and Ukraine (Putin's proposal).
"The upcoming meeting between Russia and Ukraine on Thursday is of great importance. It can bring positive results."
So it will be interesting to see what EU leaders will do in response to Russia's "what about no?"
