The same. It does look that way now. They interrupted a parliamentary debate and the TV newsreaders have got black ties on so it looks like they're following a planned protocol.

The people the BBC are interviewing are talking about the transition period and the next coronation.

They've got psychologists on talking about the effect on people and saying it's momentous.

A lot of people were shocked at how old she looked in the last Christmas Message. Losing the man she was married to since 1947 must have taken a huge toll.

Then again, there were photos of her at the races this summer looking 10 years younger and in good spirits.

Then she's probably gone already. They won't make the official announcement until all the senior family members have arrived at Balmoral. Prince William hasn't arrived yet so they will definitely wait for that because protocol (not to mention basic manners) demands it with him being in the line of succession.

Apparently the protocol is to announce it either in the morning or just before the early evening news.

They inform commonwealth heads of government and ambassadors abroad before releasing such news. Last time of course it was by coded telegraph. Presumably is quicker now.

The first step after that is to organise an Accession Council which happens in London the day after the Monarch's death

And of course Charles will have to address the nation. He'll need a couple of hours to get himself together for that if it's to be done today. Must be such a terrible day for him. In order to be what he was destined for his whole life, what he wants to be, his mother has to die. Shakespearian stuff really, isn't it.

It wouldn't happen today. Probably later on Accession Day or after according to the 'London Bridge' plans.

Actually I just realized it will have been pre-recorded. But I think it will go out today. You know how the British thing is that the Monarch must be seen in times of national crisis. If the announcement of the Queen's death is made today, Charles will be heard, I'm pretty sure. The country can't be left adrift. That's the thinking.

I was just reading that because The Queen's in Scotland, the plan is called Operation Unicorn and many of the ceremonies will happen at Holyrood instead.

The last official announcement was 5 hours ago and was an unprecedented one. The response in the media, at Balmoral and elsewhere appears to be following a well-rehearsed protocol.

You have to understand. Don`t take her life personally. She was a symbol. So comes the admiration to nazism. She had to show the path how to acquire resources.
