In a truly democratic country, that should never be in the equation leading to 5.5 million hostile foreigners. The only basis for their presence should be a referendum where the voters would approve who and how many will be allowed in and the conditions causing their immediate expulsion. They fill certain gaps in the system. Firstly, workforce. Secondly, making kids. Affluent white population is so preoccupied with enjoying their lives luxury that they refuse to produce offspring. Such ignoble activities are left to immigrants.

Nobody ASKED muslims to come.....it's all about asylum laws....more or less EVERYBODY who knocks deserves entry, or can at least stay till we know what to do with him.

In Germany at least it has to do with the experiences during WWII as many european refugees died because they had been denied entry at the time to be rescued from the Nazis.

These laws were made with the recent horrors in mind and naturally meant for other Europeans!

Now the global situation is that most muslim countries are sh*itholes and people got the news that Europe is the "land of milk and honey" and that they won't turned down...so they come to try their luck, that's all there is!

This million or two Turks who came to Germany in 1960s and 1970s were mostly gastarbeiters. Today there are 4 million people of Turkish descent in Germany.
