75 Years of Israel and the War

GefreiterKania
14 May 2023  #1

75 years ago, on 14th May 1948, the Israeli Declaration of Independence was proclaimed by David Ben-Gurion, the Executive Head of the World Zionist Organization, Chairman of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, and soon to be first Prime Minister of Israel. The rest is history...

Israel

I wish our Israeli friends all the best on their Independence Day and may there be 100, 1000 and 10000 more years of friendship between our nations!

a great reason

Are you sure that it isn't everyday a great reason for a beer at 9.00 in the morning?

Definitely....me and my liver have a contract, so you know!

Which bloody anti-semite moved this thread from History to Off-topic? :D

It's "History" not "History of Poland" and even if it was, then history of Jews is so intertwined with Polish history that it fully justifies the original thread placement.

Whoever you are, anonymous moderator, you made Adolf Hitler very proud today. You banished this thread to Off-topic to perish in people's memory but the memory of Jewish people will never perish!

Huge, juicy f*ck you, schmuck. :D

you made Adolf Hitler very proud today

Don't be ridiculous, any thread about Palestine/Israel descends into a slanging match. The hypocrisy on display is also shocking when compared to the same posters positions in any Ukrainian thread.

Its got nothing to do with Poland.

GefreiterKania
14 May 2023  #11

any thread about Palestine/Israel

This thread has nothing to do with palestinian Arabs. It's about the 75th Anniversary of Israel's independence proclamation.

the same posters positions in any Ukrainian thread

This thread is also not about Russian-Ukrainian war.

Its got nothing to do with Poland.

Poland had the largest Jewish population in Europe and many of those who survived built Israel. Polish language is still heard on the streets of Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem and Haifa. Stop being ridiculous.

@GefreiterKania
How can any discussion about Israel ignore Palestinians?

Poland had the largest Jewish population in Europe

So you want to link to Poland but ignore Palestinians, that is ridiculous

GefreiterKania
14 May 2023  #13

can any discussion about Israel ignore Palestinians?

Yes. Definitely. Notice that nobody here mentioned them before you did.

Barney
14 May 2023  #14

@GefreiterKania
I don't think erasing Palestinians from the story of Israel is an honest position

GefreiterKania
14 May 2023  #15

Nobody erasing them but not every thread about Israel has to mention them. You keep doing it for some reason, so I'll just ignore it from now on.

Barney
14 May 2023  #16

@GefreiterKania
You used the word Palestine in the OP so clearly wish to discuss only one type of Israeli citizen. There are a large number of Palestinian Arabs who are citizens of Israel do they not deserve at least a mention?

Happy anniversary to the only democracy in the MENA region and congratulations on their OK result on Eurovision last night.

Happy anniversary to the only democracy

Are we talking about the country that tends to invade and kill its neighbors before those neighbors can inflict some serious damage on them - a process similar to what's going on in Ukraine now?

A country that sent its agents to locate and execute without a trial and lengthy appeals the bad dudes the incompetent German cops were not able to handle in Munich?

If so, I would like to join you in wishing this country the very best and saying how proud I am of the above.

Oh, and that Wall you can't bypass by saying "asylum". What a magnificent way to assure Israel's survival... Happy anniversary!

How can any discussion about Israel ignore Palestinians?

Are we talking about the people no Arab country wants?

Jewish population in Europe and many of those who survived built Israel.

The difference between Jews and Israelis is greater than Grand Canyon is wide. Lucky for Isreal.

how proud I am of the above.

At least you are consistent

The pictures that bring tears to my eyes...Those kids do not have to fear of being shot by some pimply gender-confused a-hole with issues...I wonder why...

They also illustrate the difference between Jews and Israelis. That woman and the guy are Israelis. I wish I could hug 'em...

Armed men playing with children is a horror story. I live in a country that murdered millions of Poles and I don't need any weapons.

Let the pictures speak for themselves. Especially #3. But I noticed the terror on that girl's face in #1 and how she is trembling and clinging to the rest of them...So awful...

I am not going to debate insane claims. In my next life, I want to be an Israeli. It's safer there.

"I want to be an Israeli. It's safer there."

@Novichok, you are truly an ignorant idiot lol

It's "History" not "History of Poland"

Come on, everybody knows that those sections on the main forum are about Poland, including History section.

then history of Jews is so intertwined with Polish history that it fully justifies the original thread placement.

Then you should make the title of the thread somehow relevant to Poland - for example - "The contribution of Polish Jews to the creation of Israel", or something like that...

Are we talking about the country that tends to invade and kill its neighbors

Well, you got it right to some extent - RuSSia and Israel have something in common - they are defenitely hated by many of their neighbours lol

Novichok

I live in a country that murdered millions of Poles and I don't need any weapons.

Israelis are sane and see guns as friends - reliable and always with you to help.

@Novichok, you are truly an ignorant idiot lol

I would even convert to Judaism if that's the condition of admission.

Murders per 100k:

Illinois - 9

Didn't you write that you bought property lately in Crimea? You should move there - there's a possibility that it's going to be even "safer" than Israel at one point ;D

LOL

I don't think you have to hide in bomb shelters in Illinois or have a fortified room in your flat/house in case of a rocket attack lol 🤦 Check this out:

Well, I thought the connection was obvious for anyone familiar with Polish culture. I keep forgetting that it's an American board.

Which bloody anti-semite moved this thread from History to Off-topic?

You made a mistake in naming the thread. If you had written: 75 years ago Israel was created by Polish Jews, it would have been probably left intact.

You're comparing a beautiful black woman to a concrete wall, really?
