No one has any proof it was or wasn't.

The mines were marked made in Iran.

The owner of the ship denies that it was hit by mines

The US government has a proven track record of lying to justify military adventures (that end up horribly for all concerned except arms manufacturers). It's long been rumored that the neocons badly want a new war (to slake their never ending thirst for the blood of middle east civilians and US soldiers)

Did I stutter when I ask you to stick to the topic of my thread or is this just all about you and your opinion.

You're as thick as a brick and twice as rude.
This discussion is being discussed on the back page if you care to join us in the U.S. Poland thread.
Otherwise I hope the mods move everything in this thread concerning the alleged Iranian attack to that thread.
Thank you.

Something stinks bad here with what we are being fed.

Seems with all the high tech surveillance in that small of area, from a number of countries, that someone didn't capture these crimes in progress.

And here it comes as I expected it would.
In the hours before the attack on the two tankers in the Gulf of Oman on Thursday, the Iranians spotted a US drone flying overhead and launched a surface-to-air missile at the unmanned aircraft, a US official reported..

The missile missed the drone and fell into the water, the official said.
Prior to taking fire, the American MQ-9 Reaper drone observed Iranian vessels closing in on the tankers, the official added, though the source did not say whether the unmanned aircraft saw the boats conducting an actual attack.

If this is true we should be seeing the imagery from this drone to confirm these allegations. We are waiting for that.
Also, days prior to the attack, a US Reaper drone was shot down in the Red Sea by what is believed to be an Iranian missile fired by Houthi rebels.

Now certainly there should be concrete evidence of that.
The technology the military has can tell the precise location a missile is lunched from.
They can track every ship in that ocean, what port it left from and where it went and what port it returned to.
In the latest even Britain has chimed in.
The United Kingdom released a statement Friday saying it is "almost certain" that a branch of the Iranian military -- the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) -- attacked two tankers.

I wonder what they base their assumptions on ?
This whole thing stinks.

"250 years ago...!" writes JohnnyReb Hypocrite.

As times change, we must change with them. Oh, but now I get it, Johnny. You're saying it's all right to "change" with the times on certain pet peeves, such as

the New Deal, but on other things, life ought to remains as the "true America" of nearly two centuries ago.

Care to flip-flop any more there? You can still waffle some yet before dinnerLOL

Perhaps you would like to quote me in what I said about any changes or are you just projecting again.
You and your ilk are relentless to change the Constitution ever chance you can get.
That damn Constitution, those damn Christians and common sense stand right in your way don't they. lol
What fun to annoy the Left with them.

Regardless it is not in the USA interest to go to war with Iran.

Not for the country and it's citizens. But the military hardware industry and their government allies would definitely want a war.

It comes down to either Saudi Arabia, israel, or USA or atleast some country from that camp who attacked those ships.

The U.S. now has the capability to shut down Russia's electrical grids including the military ones.
WASHINGTON - The United States is stepping up digital incursions into Russia's electric power grid in a warning to President Vladimir V. Putin and a demonstration of how the Trump administration is using new authorities to deploy cybertools more aggressively.

This has to just steam Putin to no end.

Velund

This will sharply accelerate already started process to phase out any control hardware and software made by companies that may be "unable to resist" to agencies like CIA or NSA from any critical infrastructure. De facto, few companies that made (pretty expensive, due to a low volume) industrial computers entirely in Russia (including manufacturers of Elbrus CPU) can put champain to the ice. And Linux system admins may expect to have some rise of average salary on the market.

Another possible consequences will be is in political plane...

The placement of potentially crippling malware inside the Russian system at a depth and with an aggressiveness that had never been tried before.
It is intended partly as a warning, and partly to be poised to conduct cyberstrikes if a major conflict broke out between Washington and Moscow.

The United States was now taking a broader view of potential digital targets as part of an effort "to say to Russia, or anybody else that's engaged in cyberoperations against us, 'You will pay a price.'"

Men, women, and children from central Africa, mostly from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola, are showing up at the United States' southwest border after embarking on a dangerous, months long journey.

I think the Liberals that want an open border should house these ebola carriers and then, just maybe then they might get why we need to shut our borders down.

In San Antonio, the city has assisted about 300 African migrants who were apprehended at the border and released by the authorities with free healthcare since June 4 while some of our own homeless citizens/Vets of America live on our streets because there is no aid available for them.

Ask me again why I voted for Trump who relentlessly tries to change this B.S.

Bullshit he does. He hasn't built jack **** for a wall. 2 miles - that's what he's accomplished. Hes all talk that's it.

As commander in chief he could instantly send the military and shut it down. Or even use executive orders like Obama did. But he won't. He's lost his balls and cares too much about what others think. He's being a good goy and will keep the flood going even saying that American factories "need" immigrants at a recent Republican gathering. Hell Obama did a better job managing the border than trump. His border control and wall were giant bluffs. A bunch of b.s.

Yes, but is it right to critisize him for not fulfilling his promises? I read about tensions or even scuffles between Trump and Congress which doesn`t want to finance the wall. Does the US President have other ways to collect these few billion dollars for the wall?

johnny reb
17 Jun 2019  #825

As commander in chief he could instantly send the military and shut it down.

That would be political suicide.
Our government is already being called out by Germany and Japan on the Iran deal.
They want more proof that Iran did it because they do not believe America anymore after the last lies that started a war.
This border issue could be solved real easy if they would just let the citizens/militia's of this country take care of it themselves while the government looked the other way.

Only if I were President there would be free ice cream for every legal citizen.

Velund
17 Jun 2019  #826

So, legal residents with green cards will be pay same taxes, but suck some d*ck instead of enjoying free ice cream?

johnny reb
17 Jun 2019  #827

People with green cards are offered to apply for citizenship after a short period of time.
Many don't though because they have to renounce their former countries citizenship to get an American citizenship.
And the only difference is that with only having a green card you can't vote or get free ice cream.
Why Velund, are you thinking about escaping to the U.S. and becoming a U.S. citizen ?

Velund
17 Jun 2019  #828

I'm not thinking about becoming a U.S. citizen. I'm not crazy enough to voluntarily get a piece of all that deadly burden created by rep-dem political games to myself and my potential offspring.

And, you will be surprised, I feel myself a bit more free in Russia, where is a lot less "prohibited topics" in any discussion, private or public.

WRONG JR,one can also be deported for misdemeanor and most likely never to be let back in the country, which can include a DUI,Domestic or a minor drug possesion conviction.

Really, I can tell anyone I want to that Trump is a blazing azzhole and a crook.
What would happen if you spouted that off about Putin in a public Pub in Moscow ?
There are no "prohibited topics" in the U.S. that I can think of........

pawian
18 Jun 2019  #832

Of course there are. If you shout in a pub in NYC that blacks are blazing azzholes and crooks, they will prosecute you for hate speech. :)

johnny reb
18 Jun 2019  #833

That would depend on which Pub you went into pawian.
I know if I went into my local watering hole and said that there is no way in hell would I be prosecuted for it.

Note however, I would never say that having the manners that I do.

pawian
18 Jun 2019  #834

But there might always be sb inside who feels offended by your words and reports you, regardless white or black or other.
Yes, but we are not talking about manners, only about a hypothetical situation to illustrate the problem of prohibited topics in the USA.

Joker
18 Jun 2019  #835

no way in hell would I be prosecuted for it.

Indeed. You might get your ass whopped, but nothing legally will happen. Not the case if youre in Libtard Europe, you can go to jail just for thought crimes. lol What a stupid troll question anyhow, it was only meant to provoke. What else do you call someone posting nonsense at 3:30AM?

There are no "prohibited topics" in the U.S. that I can think of....

One of our many freedoms the Eurps will never have:)

pawian

Indeed. You might get your ass whopped, but nothing legally will happen.

OK, let`s leave the pub which is a special place indeed and move to an average workplace where you shout your abusive words about blacks. How long will you remain an employee there? :):)

The US is no better than Russia as far as certain topics are concerned that is why Jonh`s suggestion about Moscow and Putin was worthless.

What else do you call someone posting nonsense at 3:30AM?

Does your birdbrain categorize the value of people`s contribution in the fora according to their posting times? It wouldn`t occur to you, genius, that I could have changed time zones and be posting during the day, would it? :):)

johnny reb
18 Jun 2019  #837

about blacks.

We were talking about abusive Presidents remarks, then you chimed into our conversation (uninvited) and changed it to 'racist' remarks ?
Time you get some sleep before your rooster starts crowing.

I could have changed time zones and be posting during the day,

Yeah but you didn't so quit your bullshitting and go to your bed.

Joker
18 Jun 2019  #838

DUI,Domestic or a minor drug possesion conviction.

You're basically on probation until you get your full citizenship.
