You just said it pal,but Poland will no longer be what you think(thats my prediction again).Money is in Poland more then in the Usa.In States people come from all over the world to be successful,but few do.But among duffers in Poland its easy for a smart person to make money.In states living high life is expensive but is becoming same in Poland also rapidly.I betya Polonia will be a a diff country in another 20 yrs.UN AFFORDABLE AND EXPENSIVE rather 10 years.

It is Chinese or Russian money (even $1000 spent for targeted commercial advertising) may ruin US democracy. Anything that come from the hands of a chosen people is good by definition. Even if it is expansive bullet targeted to your cherished body. ;)

I wrote what I meant - patriotism is only possible through nationalism, just like ideas like universal education (or universal healthcare) only came into being in the nation state and are now disappearing as the nation state fades....

Why should these ideas disappear?

They have much more to do with the civilizatory progress of the western societies than with borders...these ideas didn't spread because of borders!

They're losing the nation state model.... for example the famous quote by Trudeau: "There is no core identity, no mainstream in Canada.... There are shared values-openness, respect, compassion, willingness to work hard, to be there for each other, to search for equality and justice. Note that the only Canadian qualities he mentions are undefined and can mean anything to anyone (and to the extent they have any meaning at all they're more or less universalistic nice people ideals) Canada isn't a place with a particular history where people share a culture - it's a featureless place on a map for doing business.

The problem is that that type of politics inevitably leads to the end of equality before the law and toward law by group membership as groups self-segregate
