Unfortunately Dirk,I will agree with you.For the last 10 years I have not invested a dime in here but in Poland.I feel so fuging insecure here, the Govt has become a mafia.Freaking taxes and new commi laws every year.I wonder how these seniors live with fixed incomes.Honestly if I was young I would start a business there as there are way more apportunities with less or no competition, and people are making unbelievable money there.Yes US is still good for workers who get paid more then any country and can save of course living 4 to a 1 bedroom flat.

Sometimes I think we will be a third world country in 30 years or less and the current 3rd world will be more developed.Cpl years back I went to china and was amazed how developed cities they have with smart tech and in fact same in Poland.

BTW when are you moving back?

Would have liked to post this in the Fort Trump thread but it got closed for being to popular.
Poland could soon be seeing an extra 35,000 U.S. Troops.
Trump has had a belly full of Germany a long time ago.
"It is actually offensive to assume that the U.S. taxpayer must continue to pay to have 50,000 plus Americans in Germany, but the Germans get to spend their surplus on domestic programs," Grenell told the Germany press agency DPA this week.

Time for the Germs to pony up..
Poland officials have also touted a proposal to build a "Fort Trump" permanent U.S. military base in Poland, which Trump has expressed interest in but not committed to.

U.S. Ambassador to Poland Georgette Mosbacher also chimed in on Twitter, saying Poland meets its NATO requirements and would "welcome American troops in Poland."

"Poland meets its 2% of GDP spending obligation towards NATO. Germany does not. We would welcome American troops in Germany to come to Poland," she said.

Economically this would give Poland a big shot in the arm.

...most Americans don't travel and don't know about how people live in other developed countries.

...because it wouldn't change their lives one damn bit.

Their wages are stagnant because of two things: (1) the US manufacturing sector having been shipped to Asia and Mexico, and (2) wide-open border allowing the Latinos to add to the supply of labor and, thus, force the wages down, which many econ geniuses here see as "good for the economy". What these idiots conveniently never explain is whose economy the two mega trends I just mentioned benefit because they know it's not the lower 80%.

The US is uniquely bad for the masses because the US ruling elites managed to create the most perfectly tuned and legal corrupt system anywhere.

Velund

And still doing everything possible so that the metastases of this system spread to all countries of the world.

Alas, US citizens will have to think on their own about how to change this system. From outside it can only be destroyed. Together with a considerable part of the population, unfortunately.

Well the market under trump has been phenomenal. Even blue chips have been giving me double digit returns. In terms of percentage though I actually made the most shorting deutsche bank or douche bank as I like to call it. And Bitcoin but that's not a stock

BTW when are you moving back?

Soon as I can sell the house at a price that minimizes losses. I'm not even considering breaking even at this point. Problem is the market is terrible in my suburb. It's a sign of the larger economy. People simply aren't buying suburban two story mcmansions anymore. Hell they're hardly buying homes. The only homes that are selling around here are smaller 1 story ranches below 600k. There's over 1700 homes for sales in my suburb now... With 30k residents...

Alas, US citizens will have to think on their own about how to change this system.

That'll never happen. Americans are far too disunited and far too brainwashed worrying more about their social media popularity and politics.

Velund, many here wish me dead. When they get what they want - me in a pine box - I hope you will continue acting as one of the few smart ones.

Damn right. They - the DC who*res - actually go around the globe to - I am not making this sh*t up - teach the lesser people about the merits of "democracy" and how to run a country into the ground financially.

Oops, sorry, I meant prosper by killing its manufacturing base. And, to keep the air and water clean, just borrow from those where the US plants went.

I wonder if some clown with a Ph.D. got a Nobel Prize for this new economic model.

Economically this would give Poland a big shot in the arm.

I wonder if afterwards Germany would be allowed to end the EU sanctions against Russia. It's hurting german business and with the US army in Poland they should be safe from Russia...a win-win situation?

Rich Mazur
10 Aug 2019  #549

The insanity of the Russia sanctions aside, Germany trading with Russia helps Russia. The US is in Poland to protect Poland from Russia. Conflict.
That's the theory. The practice: Germany should give the US and the Brits middle finger about sanctions until the US does something about its real enemy - which is China, not Russia.

Somehow, to the simpletons, China - good, Russia - bad. Real baaad. Scary baaad. Yeah.

Americans want their guns (I do, too) but are too spineless to get tough with the evil dudes.
Here is my solution:

1. Look at Israel and see how they protect their schools and other public buildings. What they have works.
2. Tell the US liberals to STFU and not oppose stop-and-frisk. It worked well in NY before.
3. Increase penalties for carrying without a license to the level where they are a deterrent.
4. Concentrate police in the black districts where the murders take place.
5. Restore effective death penalty for murder, premeditated or random.
6. Suspend the 1st Amendment in part to keep the press creating me-too morons in search of fame.
7. Pass the universal concealed carry law at the federal level to prevent the mosaic of madness at the state level.
8. Require periodic training and re-testing of the fed CC permit holders.
9. Provide effective death penalty for drug smugglers and street dealers.
10. Every gun sold must be fired once and the bullet recorded as future forensic evidence.
11. No gun sales at gun shows or privately. Only through federally licensed dealers.
12. Make parents liable for improper use by their dependents.

Bratwurst Boy
10 Aug 2019  #555

or...

1.) Strictly prohibit guns for private citizens!

Amendment a:) Every private gun ownership must be applied for, licensed and strictly controlled

Possible punishments:
- 10 years in prison or 100.000 $ fine (doubling if repeated violation)
- crimes committed with the use of guns earn automatically a life sentence (with no parole)

See? So easy...just one (and a half) point! :)

El Paso would wish the nutter would had used only a machete...

1.) Strictly prohibit guns for private citizens!

This would violate the US Constitution. Mine does not.

El Paso would wish the nutter would had used only a machete...

I would like to place all Democrats and other leftist nutters under a permanent gag order, except that this annoying 1st Amendment won't let me..

You have to try harder. Yeah, the US Constitution is a real bummer. That was sarcasm.

Bratwurst Boy
10 Aug 2019  #557

You have to try harder.

No, I really don't....I don't live there, not my problem.

As long as there is a majority for free-guns-for-all it's all right in my book. I don't have to understand or like it....

But it's still true...instead of trying to make a knot in your brain and invent countless ways around it's just really one big law change needed!

Yeah, the US Constitution is a real bummer.

Well....at that time the guns talked about had been one-shot-muskets, not the WMD's of today. If you really honor the constitution then all modern private guns need to be exchanged with thes old muskets...maybe a compromise??? ;)

It's abit like the asylum laws in Germany...at the time they had been conceived their maker had the after-war refugees and also the jewish drama in mind, never the global masses from other continents.

That too needs to be adapted to modern conditions, because it's not working anylonger...

When they get what they want - me in a pine box

You have the power to fool them. Although no one knows at what point in the heavenly office they will sign a call for a report, you can arrange that the pine tree should not be used for a box, but only a noble oak. ;)

@delph
You posted awhile back about how come no civilians with a gun ever stop one of these mass shooters.
Yesterday a kid in full body armor toting an AR-15 walked into a Walmart (copycat) where he was met by a civilian with a gun. (Google it)

The kid actually wet his pants when he saw the bore of a civilians gun pointed right between his eyes.
(I would have pulled the trigger)

The kid laid the AR down and told the civilian hero that he had another one in his waste band.
I wonder how many lives that RESPONSIBLE citizen who had a concealed and carry saved yesterday.
Again yesterday there was a shootout by gang members on the freeway stopping traffic where a RESONSIBLE citizen started shooting back which scared the punks off.

I wonder how many lives the RESPONSIBLE citizen with the gun saved.
See, it does happen it just that the Liberal news media hates reporting anything good about guns.

Hell they're hardly buying homes

Where I live it is a sellers market as everyone wants out of the city (and the stock market) so they are snapping up over priced real estate in my area further north.

People of color don't like the cold so we have very few of them making this a preferred area of very low violent crime rates.

Things are changing quickly in America as most people know what's brewing.
In fact I was just offered 25K more than what my home is valued at but where would I go to replace it ? Alaska maybe ?

Dirk diggler
10 Aug 2019  #561

@Bratwurst Boy

They've already been replaced ten fold since then with new border crossings. Unlike Germans who are an endangered species. Idk how 3k Mexicans can even fit in a walmart but those mofos managed it somehow. That's gotta be some kind of fire hazard. He prolly would've got a higher score just yelling "ICE "la migra!!" And watching them trample each other.

@johnny reb
Yeah in other parts I've noticed it's a seller's market. Not where I live though. It's weird because historically this was one of the most desirable areas. It still has the name as a wealthy wasp suburb but that kind of hurts it. Even my real estate agent told me that since it's known as like the most conservative least diverse suburb makes it undesirable for the young yuppie families. I never understood why someone would spend the same amount of money to get a property that's half the size in some old unremodeled home where there's hood just a few blocks away like in Evanston and property taxes are even higher. Then again I don't understand why liberals do a lot of things.

That was a terrible sin against the Euro religion of dependency on the ruling class. We are expected to be wholly reliant on them for protection. If they respond to your 911 call - and, btw, legally they are not required - in 12 minutes (that's the average) and find you dead, that's OK and part of the plan. At least, you were a good boy and played by the rules. Their rules, of course.

Rich Mazur

Typical school and store shooters are pimply boys in search for fame. Or revenge for being ridiculed and ignored as pimply, skinny, shy boys usually are.

Girls and women are superior in the socializing department. And that is why they don't need to kill their classmates. At least, not that often.

They express their feelings more easily, they gossip and confide, they bond, and love animals. Boys are not allowed to do that. They must suck it up, shut up and and show how macho and tough they are. So they torture kittens. Later, they are found dead in Afghanistan or some other sh*thole.

And everyone of them wants to be a football jock in high school. Too weak? Too ugly to get a date? Get a gun and show them that you don't like being sidelined. Or blow your own f*cking head off. Which, actually, is a good move considering how many killed themselves and others in the process.

That's boys for you.

Almost forgot: and boring as hell. At the 'hood parties, I always end up with women talking about the things we call life. Men talk about some overweight, low-IQ guy and how many touchdowns he scored fifty years ago as a way to avoid the subjects that really matter. Did you ever get a call from one of them saying, man, I feel like sh*t today. Can we meet for a beer?

Sure beats getting stupid .20 drunk or snorting, I guess.

Lindsey Graham shoots down AR-15 ban in the wake of mass shootings, saying he would need his semi-automatic rifle to fend off looters in a South Carolina hurricane

Lindsey, you are my man. At least this time.

Euros: picture yourself facing an AR-15 with a laser on top, and held the way it is meant to be held - straight into your face with that red dot in your eyes.

Now, replace that with Milo and his iron. Do you see any difference? Do you still want to proceed to rob and rape, or, would you rather turn around and run for you life.

Yeah, I know, you can call the police so you don't need that horrible looking assault weapon of mass destruction.

I never thought that one day I will be debating self-defense with children.

johnny reb

to fend off looters in a South Carolina hurricane

Now Rich you know you don't have the right to shoot looters.
Didn't you see the news where the police were told to stand down and let the looting take place ?
I mean what the hell, isn't that what we pay insurance for so some under privileged family can have big screen to watch the baw game on.

Rich Mazur

the news where the police were told to stand down and let the looting take place

Stand down? That wouldn't be so bad. The problem is that, while standing down, they have the orders to protect the looters from the "vigilantes" - meaning the citizens acting as their replacements because these weasels are on a de-facto strike. Plus, they are always in the count mode how many days till retirement.

There was case in the Chicago area that went like this. A guy comes home and finds it surrounded by cops. He is told that his wife is being raped in there. He wants to run in and save her. The cops stopped him because his house was by then a crime scene. You know, that yellow tape you are not supposed to cross. No, I am not making this sh*t up.

Bottom line: cops are totally useless. Like tits on the bull. They only protect the system and investigate when they find you dead. That's it.

Of course, a perfect MO for the Euros and their subject-y obedience.

johnny reb

Top story about Russia on MSNBC is the rocket explosion you had.
Russia's nuclear energy agency has said an explosion that caused radiation levels to spike in the Arkhangelsk region was caused by an accident during a test of an "isotope power source for a liquid-fueled rocket engine".

The statement was the first confirmation that the agency was involved in the incident, which briefly drove radiation levels up to 20 times their normal levels in the nearby city of Severodvinsk.

You don't live close to there do you Velund ?

Velund

You don't live close to there

No I live far away from there, and Severodvinsk is a city that have a lot of factories working with various radiation sources (from gamma ray defectoscopy to ship reactors), so there is quite tight environmental control. Short time 20x background gamma increase is not that significant, much more significant is which nuclide caused it. And I not yet seen this information anywhere.
